Leading Your Team to Summit 2014

Listen up, leaders, we’re counting on you to get your entire Team laser-focused on getting to Coach Summit 2014 in Las Vegas from June 19-22, 2014. And to help you do just that, we’ve got the man with the plan, SVP of Global Sales for Team Beachbody, Jeff Hill. He has specific advice to help you establish the business-building importance of attending, advice on how to create the urgency, as well as a personal challenge for every single Diamond Coach. So get reading—and get your whole Team to Summit!

Q. Why is it critical for Leaders to encourage Coaches of EVERY level to attend Summit, Jeff?
A.
Because the Leaders are the one’s best equipped to share why and how Summit can change a coach’s future.  They’ve been there, they have the stories, they’ve seen the changes and, most importantly, they have the personal relationships and established trust with those they are encouraging to go. It’s a leader’s responsibility to share the things their Teams absolutely must do to achieve the highest probability of success—and Summit is one of those things.  Think about it; the company invests millions of dollars to showcase the company and how lives have changed  but they don’t have the influence a leader has to get their teams there. It’s kind of a “no duh” if you’re serious about building a thriving Coach business.

Q. What are the top 3 things Leaders should tell their Teams about attending Summit?
A.
First, it’s the best investment someone can make in their business. Second, stories sell. Leaders should share their own personal experience or how it changed a new Coach’s trajectory in the business. Third, they need to explain “how” to get there. Garage sales, bake sales—any way to set aside income. Show them the Summit deals and that they can share rooms. Whatever it takes. Also, they don’t need to buy a brand new wardrobe for Summit. It doesn’t matter how they get there, where they stay, or what new clothes they wear—all that matters is that they get there! Show that getting to Summit is doable.

Q. What can Coaches expect to experience at Summit 2014?
A.
It’s our biggest event yet! We’ve got Diana Nyad, Darren Hardy, Carl and the corporate team LIVE on stage. Not to mention the incredible training workshops from Top Coaches, BIG product announcements, parties, the CORE, the Super Workout, and celebrity trainer workouts. On top of all that, there’s the incredible Celebration Show, the Coach Talent Show, and the big announcement of our Beachbody Challenge winners. Simply stated, our Coaches can expect an unbelievable experience.

But, most importantly, your belief level in the company will go up exponentially. That’s critical as you go home to build your Coach business.

Q. I’m a new Coach—why do I NEED to be there?
A.
It’s the single most powerful Coach event of the year. As a new Coach, you will witness the entirety of what is available to Coaches, and you’ll learn from some of our very best the fundamentals of how to make it happen.

Q. I’m a Diamond Coach—why do I NEED to be there?
A.
Leaders lead. They show up and bring their Teams with them. Leaders also need that “recharging and rejuvenation” that only Summit can offer.

Q. What should our Diamond Leaders do next to help, Jeff?
A.
Coaches can expect corporate to beat the drum, but corporate aren’t the game changers. YOU, our leaders are. You have the relationships and the trust. You know the challenges and struggles, and you have experienced what Summit can do for a Coach.

Let me challenge you: Make a commitment that before the end of March, you will help two more Coaches get registered for Summit. Every single one of you has that ability. And with over 2,000 active Diamonds and above, that would easily swell the Summit ranks to over 10,000. Can you imagine?

Remember this:  “Life rewards action.”

Q. Any favorite Summit memories to share?
A.
Summit offers it all—from great fun, inspiration, Carl’s vision, the training workshops, the Celebration, just the total buzz of the experience. But for me, the most powerful part is when we highlight Coaches whose lives have been radically changed forever. That’s what it’s all about. That’s what new Coaches need to see and hear. Those are the priceless moments.

Q. What are you most excited about for Summit 2014?
A.
I know what will happen; thousands of lives are going to change. But if our leaders don’t get their Teams to Summit, the likelihood of them changing as quickly goes down dramatically. We are counting on you to help us make it all happen. Let’s do this, team!

Top Point Earner for October 2016 – Jolee McLeod

Jolee McLeod

“Not only am I taking care of myself but I am able to continue doing the line of work I love, helping people achieve their health and wellness goals and getting amazing results!!!!”

My Story:

I got into coaching after participating in my first challenge group this summer.  I am a yoga teacher and personal trainer and I found myself this summer unhappy and unhealthy.  I was ten pounds heavier, depressed because i was not practicing what I preach…. self care.  After participating 1 week in the challenge, I couldn’t believe the changes in my body and in my mind.  The fog of depression was lifting and I had more energy.  From then I was hooked and wanted to know how I could share this with others.  I finished my first challenge, signed up as a coach and ran my first challenge group that actually started on my birthday.  It was the best gift I ever gave myself!  Not only am I taking care of myself but I am able to continue doing the line of work I love, helping people achieve their health and wellness goals and getting amazing results!!!!

Beachbody coaching is helping me reach my goals in so many ways.  The biggest one is in my industry if I go on vacation and sub out my yoga classes, or if a client cancels a session, I don’t get paid.  For the first time in 8 years, I took an entire week off from my training and teaching life and did not stress about getting paid.  I was still able to connect with my challengers while on vacation, and be present with my family without financial stress of coming home and trying to make up for loss income… this is HUGE for me!

Coaching has made me realize that I have a strong voice in the health and wellness industry and this opportunity has helped me to expand that voice to help so many more people than driving around town training or teaching once person, one class at a time.  Since then, I only take on clients and classes that work for me and my family.  This helps me to be more present in my life for myself and for them.  I’m able to reach more people, help more people, and yet feel like Im totally resourced.

Goals for me are the SC 10 is a non-negotiable.  If I don’t make it (which I haven’t yet), its because I just didn’t ask enough people.  Plus, there is the added incentive of not wanting to walk away from paid leads!  Its a no brainer in my book.  Everyone has 5 people they know that could use this in their life.  If you don’t, you’re not looking for it.

For someone considering becoming a coach…..

DO. IT.  My biggest regret is not stepping through doubts and fears I had about this business 1 year ago when I was approached to coach.  This is a beautiful community that truly wants to see EVERYONE succeed.  You’ve got nothing to lose but EVERYTHING TO GAIN!

Top Point Earner for September 2016 – Kelly Bijl

“Before Beachbody, I didn’t have any goals or dreams. My husband would ask me what my dreams were and I didn’t have any—but now I do. Beachbody has given me drive and passion.”

Kelly Bijl

Kelly Bijl found purpose, drive, and a break on her budget when she signed up as a Beachbody Coach. Now our Top Point Earner for September, she doesn’t plan on slowing down any time soon!

My Story:

There were so many reasons to become a Coach! I got great results with 21 Day Fix EXTREME and wanted to share with others the program that made me believe in myself again. To be able to help people discover a healthy lifestyle and feel better about themselves while getting paid is truly amazing.

I’m a mom of four children, and I work full-time as an HR advisor. Even with two incomes, there are defiantly times my husband and I are stretched. Beachbody has relieved us of that. The additional income is a blessing especially in September when hockey, dance, and school registration fees are all due.

Before Beachbody, I didn’t have any goals or dreams. My husband would ask me what my dreams were and I didn’t have any—but now I do. Beachbody has given me drive and passion.

I haven’t looked back a day since I started Coaching. It is full speed ahead for me—I don’t plan on slowing down.

Top Point Earner for August 2016 – Erin Hopkins

“If you aren’t inviting and finding people to join you, then you are never going to have a business. People don’t come to you. You need to go to them.”

Karli Jaeckel

Once a personal trainer, yoga teacher, and spin instructor, Erin Hopkins gave it all up to stay at home with her young kids. Now, this Top Point Earner is committed to her Coaching business and connecting with people through health and fitness with the flexibility of being able to work from home.

My Story:

As a stay-at- home mom of three little girls (three years old and under), it is easy to get wrapped up in the stress and anxiety that comes with having so many little ones and lose your identity along the way.

Coaching allowed me to get back to helping people—which has made me feel like myself again. I almost forgot that I’m really good at something that doesn’t involve nap schedules and potty training.

When I first talked to my Coach about Coaching, I thought it would be lonely, isolating, and mostly behind a computer screen, but that is the opposite of what it actually is. Everyday I’m video chatting, talking on the phone, meeting people for coffee, and really connecting with people—which I’ve missed since becoming a mom!

It seems counterintuitive, but by adding something to my plate that I truly love, I feel less stressed and less anxious. I think I’m a better, more patient, more fulfilled, happier version of myself. And to think, I’ve built this business in the last three months strictly during my children’s nap time!

Top Point Earner for July 2016 – Karli Jaeckel

“If you aren’t inviting and finding people to join you, then you are never going to have a business. People don’t come to you. You need to go to them.”

Karli Jaeckel

Karli Jaeckel was struggling with postpartum depression and wanted to fill her time with something meaningful and inspiring. She realized Beachbody Coaching not only did wonders for her wellbeing, but also for her income. Now our Top Point Earner for July, Karli is setting her sights on using her success to support her family’s dreams.

How Coaching Changed My Life:

Beachbody has given me more of a purpose in my life. It gave me a way to escape the depths of postpartum depression. It gave me a to-do list! Before Beachbody, I didn’t have many goals. All of my goals had to do with my kids. Beachbody has given me a way to set goals specifically for me.

My Goals:

I would love to retire my husband from his full-time job. I want to make a full-time income from Beachbody Coaching to support our family. This would allow my husband the chance to follow his own dreams and find something that makes him truly happy like Beachbody Coaching does for me!

My Advice:

The advice that I would give to Coaches who are struggling to get their businesses off the ground is to INVITE and FOLLOW UP. If you aren’t inviting and finding people to join you, then you are never going to have a business. People don’t come to you. You need to go to them. You have to be consistently keeping those actions up.

Top Point Earner for June 2016 – Angela Ochs

“Consistency is key. Be real, don’t be too serious, and have fun with it!”

Angela Ochs

Angela Ochs didn’t realize how much her life could change by being a Beachbody Coach. Starting her business simply to cover her monthly Shakeology costs, this June Top Point Earner is now doing so much more—including funding renovations for her new house!

My Biggest Challenge:

The hardest part for me was really just putting myself out there on social media. I worried people would be annoyed or think I’m bragging. I didn’t want to be pushy. I quickly realized that people actually appreciated me reaching out to them! Sometimes that was the push they needed to make some positive changes in their lives.

My Results:

We just moved into a new house that needed some expensive home renovations. My Beachbody earnings have been set aside for that. I’m well on my way toward funding that hefty project in just over 3 months of Coaching! I never thought that was possible!

My Advice:

Don’t give up! Go all in! Be yourself, be vulnerable. You need to have a big presence on social media—whatever platform you chose. People need to see you live your life, and not just Coaching stuff, so they can get to know all of you. Consistency is key. Be real, don’t be too serious, and have fun with it!

Top Point Earner for May 2016 – Brianna Armstrong

“My daily motto is: Can I get one more person to live a healthier life?”

Brianna Armstrong

Brianna Armstrong had always wanted to work as a fitness professional but worried that it wouldn’t be financially feasible for her family. Now helping others achieve their fitness goals as a Beachbody Coach while bringing in extra money, this Top Point Earner’s dreams are coming true in more ways than one.

My Motivation:

In just a few months, I’ve helped almost 50 people with their fitness, diet, and weight loss goals. I’m so proud when they tell me how their lives are better because of me. I’ve made connections with many new people, and I’ve deepened connections with friends and family because I’ve helped make their lives better. My daily motto is: Can I get one more person to live a healthier life?

My Goals:

For years, I’ve wanted to transition out of the corporate world and help others live healthier lives, but financially it wasn’t going to work for our family. I felt like my dream was just a dream and never going to happen. Now that I’m a Beachbody Coach, I finally see my dream becoming a reality!

My Advice:

Share your daily healthy habits on social media and talk about it constantly. Include the non-scale benefits you’ve achieved with your healthy habits. People don’t want to be sold—they want to join you. Everyone has their own reasons for starting a fitness program or diet. We, as Coaches, should stand out from the crowd for living a healthy life.

Top Point Earner for April 2016 – Alexandra Reidmiller

“Becoming a Beachbody Coach has given me even more drive to put myself out there and continue to help others.”

Alexandra Reidmiller

Alexandra Reidmiller is a school nurse who found herself falling behind on her bills during the summer. She wanted a financial cushion and the ability to afford vacations, birthday parties, and other activities for her family. Now the Success Starters Top Point Earner for April, she’s accomplishing just that!

My Why:

My kids are my Why. I work full time as a school nurse and have four small children. School nurses don’t make much money, and I don’t get paid over the summer. I want my family to have all the same experiences that I see a family of four having, like family vacations, birthday parties, weekend getaways, and even clothes. I never want my children to feel the stress of not having enough money.

How Coaching Changed My Finances:

After only 2.5 months, I have all the money I need saved for Christmas 2016! I have one month of a summer mortgage saved. I have been able to treat my girls to things like pedicures, and I am well on my way to saving for a family vacation. I am beyond excited!

How Coaching Changed My Life:

Never in a million years did I think I was good enough to be a health and wellness coach. I occasionally save lives as a nurse, but I feel as though I save lives every day as a Beachbody Coach. Now my family sees me as a helper, a hero, and a strong woman. Not only am I providing for my children, but I am becoming stronger inside and out. Becoming a Beachbody Coach has given me even more drive to put myself out there and continue to help others. If I can do this, anyone can.

Top Point Earner for March 2016 – Melissa Zimmermann

“You will never regret investing in your future and in yourself. Give Coaching an honest shot for 30 days and see where it takes you—you have nothing to lose!”

Melissa Zimmerman

Melissa Zimmermann was looking for an opportunity to supplement her income while maintaining a flexible schedule for her family. She had just begun her Beachbody journey when she stumbled upon her Coach’s request for new additions to her team and asked herself, “Why not me?” Her initiative paid off, and after just 3 months, Melissa is ranking as Team Beachbody’s Success Starters Top Point Earner for March!

My Why:

I work part-time for a non-profit organization that I am very passionate about. While extremely fulfilling, it’s not a job that comes with a very large paycheck. My two boys are getting older and becoming excited about new, amazing things like lacrosse, rock climbing, music lessons, travel etc. Providing those experiences and opportunities is very important to me, but of course, they come with a price tag.

My Immediate Financial Results:

Within my first 2 weeks, I earned back the cost of my own initial Challenge Pack. After my first month, I had some extra money in our bank account and was able to treat my family to evenings out and special splurges. Now 3 months in, I’ve begun saving towards taking my family to Disneyland—all on my own dime!

My Advice:

If you truly want your business to be successful, you need to ditch your excuses and be consistent with your time management and social media outreach. You will never regret investing in your future and in yourself. Give Coaching an honest shot for 30 days and see where it takes you—you have nothing to lose!

Top Point Earner for February 2016 – Mélissa Hart

“In the world of Coaching, we need to be organized, available, and informed to make it as easy as possible to help others.”

Melissa Hart

Mélissa Hart was on maternity leave when she saw a Coach promoting her next Challenge Group. She decided to join and immediately fell in love with Beachbody and Coaching. She became a Coach herself, and in just four months, her success has been overwhelming! Now our Top Point Earner for February, Mélissa has been able to replace her full-time job with her new Coaching business.

My Goals:

At first I thought Coaching could help me pay for my Shakeology each month, but in four months, I can now afford much more than that! I decided to throw myself fully into my business and make it my full-time job so I could be there at all times for my family.

My Advice:

Set goals! It’s so important to set both short and long-term goals, even when they don’t seem feasible. With Coaching, I had daily, weekly, and monthly goals, and I wrote them all down to remind and motivate me. In the world of Coaching, we need to be organized, available, and informed to make it as easy as possible to help others.

How Coaching Changed My Life:

I’ve been a Coach for four months, and my life has completely changed! Getting up in the morning and knowing that my work is going to motivate people, there’s no better better job than that. In four moths, I’ve managed to change the lives of hundreds of people. I won the Team Beachbody Cup in February 2016 and was flown to Beachbody HQ in California in recognition of all my hard work! I am happy to announce that I am now a Diamond Coach! Nothing is impossible, but you have to put in the work in to accomplish your dreams.

Top Point Earner for January 2016 – Falon Bonner

“My fitness business has been completely revamped!”

Falon Bonner

Falon Bonner was tired of the limited earning potential of her work as a personal trainer. She wanted to reach a larger and broader consumer base while building up her business. Now the Success Starters Top Point Earner for January, it’s no wonder she jumped at the chance to become a Beachbody Coach and take her fitness business to new heights.

Why I Joined:

knew I wanted to offer online training because I wanted to work my business smarter. I came across a personal trainer on Instagram who had retired her husband thanks to her Beachbody Coaching business. Her Coaching opportunity post spoke directly to me! It read along the lines of, “Are you a fitness professional who’s tired of making chump change while building the gym owners dream?” Yes! What made me sign up was her sharing how she was able to build a 7-figure income, build a legacy for her kids, and retire her husband. Those were all the things I wanted to do as well!

How Coaching Has Changed My Life:

My fitness business has been completely revamped! I went from having only 20 clients in an entire year as a personal trainer to 100+ customers and 24 Coaches in 90 days as a Beachbody Coach! My challenge groups always fill up monthly, and my team is growing! It’s been a huge boost for my fitness business. Recently, I was able to completely pay for the venue for my husband’s 40th birthday surprise party—something I would not have been able to do on my own before Beachbody. I love what I do!

Top Point Earner for December 2015 – Emily Vendemmia

“Coaching has opened doors for me I did not expect to open!”

Emily Vendemmia

Within only three months of Coaching, Emily Vendemmia was able to earn enough with her Coaching income to pay for her son’s private school. Now Team Beachbody’s Success Starter Top Point Earner for December, Emily’s pushing herself even more to accomplish bigger goals with her business.

My Journey:

Even as a new Coach, Coaching has provided me a nice additional income that is paying for my son’s private schooling—which is huge! At one point, I was actually worried we would have to pull him out of his school. He absolutely loves his school, and it broken my heart to think he would no longer be able to attend.

Covering my son’s tuition so early on with my Coaching income was such a game changer for me and my family—and it encouraged me to set larger goals for my Coaching business. Now, I’m excited about possibly earning enough to help move my family to a larger house.

Coaching has opened doors for me I did not expect to open!

Top Point Earner for October 2015 – Stephanie Montessi

“It can take quite a bit of focus, sacrifice, and routine when you start building your Beachbody business. But no matter your struggle, seek the root cause of the struggle and understand why.”

Stephanie Montessi

Stephanie Montessi already earns a great living with her full-time job in HR, but knowing she could potentially replace her income by working a Beachbody business from home was an opporuntity to good to pass up. Hoping to get more time at home with her son, Stephanie has worked hard as a new Coach—leading her straight to the title of October’s Top Point Earner! Discover her advice for pushing through the struggles of growing a new business.

My Business Perspective:

“It can take quite a bit of focus, sacrifice, and routine when you start building your Beachbody business. But no matter your struggle, seek the root cause of the struggle and understand why. I recommend asking yourself “Why?” five times in a row on the same question until you arrive at the root cause. This is a practice I have taken with me everywhere in life, and it has been instrumental to my success.”

Here is an example:

Q: Why (#1) haven’t I hit Success Club 5 this month?
A: Because three people didn’t purchase a Challenge Pack.
Q: Why (#2) didn’t three people purchase a Challenge Pack?
A: Because only six people responded to my invite on FB and only one purchased.
Q: Why (#3) did only six people respond to your invite?
A: Because I only posted one invite this month.
Q: Why (#4) did you only post one invite this month?
A: Because I didn’t want to annoy people on Facebook.
Q: Why (#5) do you worry about annoying people on Facebook when you are sharing a valuable product and service with them?
A: Because I am afraid of what people will think of me.

Finding the root cause of your struggle and overcoming it will help you find the solution and push you toward success. Most often, the root cause is fear. This is even true for myself.

Fear is often why Coaches aren’t inviting and sharing. I would encourage Coaches to recognize that their reason for wanting to succeed in this business is stronger than their fear. I would encourage these Coaches to find confidence not only in themselves but also in the mission of Beachbody. This approach will truly help pave the way toward success!

Top Point Earner for August 2015 – Linzie Payne

“Show up for the team calls. Learn from others who have paved the way. Believe in the business, have a positive attitude, and know it is all going to be worth it.”

Linzie Payne

After borrowing a large sum of money to financially help out a close friend, Linzie Payne lost her job. Un-repaid and unemployeed, Linzie started spiraling toward financial devastation—and the money she lost pursuing a career in real estate didn’t help. Now our Top Point Earner for August, Linzie found a lucrative career that she loves with Coaching and is finally back on her path toward financial stability.

My Business Perspective:

“With Beachbody Coaching, I am consistently bringing in good money every month—unlike my real estate business where I was always wondering when I was going to make my next sale. Having consistent income is something that I haven’t had in a long time, and it feels really good. I’m able to pay all my bills and not fall behind on slower months like I used to.”

My Why:

“After loaning my friend money, losing my job, and taking a hit investing in my real estate business, we were very close to losing our house. My mother lent me a large sum of money to keep us afloat, and every day I’m dedicated to paying her back.”

My Advice:

“Believe in yourself and the business—and treat it like a business! Show up for the team calls. Learn from others who have paved the way. Believe in the business, have a positive attitude, and know it is all going to be worth it.”

Top Point Earner for July 2015 – Christine Hicks

“I love Coaching. Every day I get personalized messages from challengers thanking me for sharing Beachbody and for giving them their lives back.”

Christine Hicks

When Christine Hicks signed up as a challenger for a 21 Day Fix Challenge Group, she figured—might as well become a Coach while I’m at it. Three months and 48 Success Club points later, Christine is honorably declared our July Success Starters Top Point Earner.

My Business Perspective:

“For me, the financial aspect of Coaching was just a bonus for the amount of time and energy I was putting into Coaching, mentoring, and helping others. But watching my paychecks grow over the last few months, my perspective has changed. Having this personal business has allowed me to stop thinking I have to work to live. Rather, I can live and work doing something I am passionate about.”

My Biggest Challenge:

“One of my biggest challenges is training and motivating my own personal Coaches. I am still learning the business myself, but I’m feeling more and more confident in my messaging to my Coaches.”

Why I Coach:

“I love Coaching. Every day I get personalized messages from challengers thanking me for sharing Beachbody and for giving them their lives back. It is so rewarding to know that by being there for them, encouraging them, sharing recipes, motivating them anyway I can through Facebook, I can help make their journey that much more amazing.”

Top Point Earner for June 2015 – Karine Germain

“When people ask me what is the key to my instant success, my answer is very simple: I work HARD! I manage my schedule daily just as I would in any other job.”

Karine Germain

June’s Success Starters Top Point Earner, Karine Germain, turned Coaching into a viable business in almost no time. Earning 68 Success Club points in three months, Karine has already managed to make as much as her teacher’s salary. Now she’s able to take a break from her teaching career, focus on building her business, and spend more time with her kids at home.

My Biggest Challenge:

“One of my biggest challenges was facing my friends and family’s opinions when I decided to pursue Coaching. However, I now feel like this challenge helped me grow. I am very proud of my journey. I’m proud that I broke barriers and got out of my comfort zone to reach the goals I set for myself.”

My Key to Success:

“When people ask me what is the key to my instant success, my answer is very simple: I work HARD! I manage my schedule daily just as I would in any other job. I set clear objectives, and I remain focused on attaining them. I never let myself be distracted or discouraged by obstacles and hardships on my way to success.”

My Goals:

“In the short term, I am able to visualize my earnings becoming equal to that of my spouse—making me an equal contributor to my family’s needs. In the long-term, I am a very determined woman, and I am convinced of my leadership abilities. I intend to make of my business an example of financial success with a yearly salary in the six digits.”

Top Point Earner for May 2015 – Melissa Pothier

“As a Coach, you really need to be passionate. Your first goal as a Coach should be to help people—not to just make a lot of money.”

Melissa Pothier

Melissa Pothier is closing out her first three months of Coaching as our May Success Club Top Point Earner—and boy, did she earn it! After having amazing results with 21 Day Fix when she was two months postpartum, she decided to become a Coach so she could help others get fit, too. Making half her salary while on maternity leave, the Coaching opportunity is helping her support her family while getting to stay home with her little one.

My Biggest Challenge:

“There were times when I would invite, invite, invite, and it felt like nothing was moving. Eventually, I learned that even if I don’t get responses right away, I’m laying the groundwork for future business. Some of the very people who didn’t get back to me right away ended up reaching out later!”

My Advice:

“As a Coach, you really need to be passionate. Your first goal as a Coach should be to help people—not to just make a lot of money. Show your clients that you are passionate, honest, and a great listener.”

My Why:

“I’d love to be able to afford a bigger house so we can grow our family. I would also love to stay home full-time with my daughter. That would be a blessing.”

Top Point Earner for April 2015 – Lindsay Martin

“Sacrifice. It takes some sacrifice. I stay up late some nights. I get up early. I put in the time, and I do make sacrifices.”

Lindsay Martin

Lindsay Martin struggled with her weight her whole life. After joining a Beachbody Challenge Group, her relationship with her body, her health, and her self all changed, and she wanted to help others make that same discovery! Learn how this Success Club Top Point Earner dedicated herself to help others get their dreams.

My Why:

“My business and financial Why is that I want to live a life by design. I want to be able to put my kids on the bus and be there to pick them up. I want to experience all the little things in life that I was missing out on working a 9-5 job. Coaching has allowed me to do this. In just a few short months I have been able to work for myself and build my business. Seeing that bus pull up every day puts a smile on my face. It IS possible!”

My Biggest Challenge:

“Initially, I was worried about putting myself “out there.” Sharing stories, pictures, and videos of yourself really makes you vulnerable. What I soon realized was that I was helping people and inspiring them to change their lives If one post of mine really hits home for someone and makes them want to take that first step to change, then I have done my job. People send me messages all the time thanking me for being vulnerable!”

What It Takes:

“Sacrifice. It takes some sacrifice. I stay up late some nights. I get up early. I put in the time, and I do make sacrifices. Sleep would be one of them. However, I know that hard work does pay off, and I’m willing to put in the time, effort, and consistency to get there!”

Top Point Earner for March 2015 – Angela Maloney

“Look for Coaches to help you get your business off the ground. Have a partner in crime. It’s amazing what two brains can accomplish over one.”

Angela Maloney

Angela decided she wanted to be a Coach after having incredible fitness success in a 21 Day Fix Extreme Challenge Group. A stay-at-home mom who hadn’t made her own money in years, Angela was excited to contribute to her family’s bottom line while being able to stay home with her kids. Now a Top Point Earner with 111 Success Club points, Angela’s killing it at doing just that!

My Biggest Challenge:

“As a new Coach, I struggled with time management—especially when it came to running large Challenge Groups. I was up late at night. I was spending every waking moment on Facebook. But I just had to keep pushing through and tell myself it was a learning curve. If I was going to learn how to do it and do it right, I had to sacrifice my time and just figure it out! Now my Challenge Groups are easy, fun, and rewarding!”

My Top Tool:

“Under the Business Tools tab there are Beachbody Challenge Group Guides that I use to help me with daily posts in my Challenge Groups. My team has our own set of daily posts, but I reference these guides to give me fresh ideas for my 21 Day Fix and 21 Day Fix Extreme groups. Engaged Challenge Groups lead to referrals and Coach prospects—so I can definitely say that this Beachbody tool has helped me grow my business!”

My Advice:

“Look for Coaches to help you get your business off the ground. Have a partner in crime. It’s amazing what two brains can accomplish over one. Ask someone to go on this journey with you and change people’s lives together as a team!”

Top Point Earner for February 2015 – Brooke Orchard

“I use the Coach Online Office to tap into how my downline Coaches are doing each week. I encourage them when they are struggling, and I recognize their achievements.”

Brooke Orchard

When her husband lost his job, she went into full-on survival mode—ready to crush her goals and free her and her husband from their financial burdens. Discover what this Success Starter Top Point Earner has to say about getting her Beachbody career off the ground.

My Biggest Challenge:

“As a new Coach, I found it difficult to narrow down what worked for ME. I was overwhelmed with all of the amazing resources out there. However, once I found a simple system that worked for me, I was able to fall into the rhythm of doing the same things consistently everyday, and that has helped lead me to success.”

My Top Tool:

“I use the Coach Online Office to tap into how my downline Coaches are doing each week. I encourage them when they are struggling, and I recognize their achievements. This really helps my downline Coaches move forward in their business—which has, in return, helped mine.”

My Goals:

“My short-term goal is to pay off my $50,000 student loan debt by the end of 2016. My long-term goal is to pay off our mortgage by 2020 and be able to go part-time at my “day job” so I can spend more time with family!”

Top Point Earner for January 2015 – Lauren Shaw

“Never give up. Ever. If you have a bad month, bounce back, post, follow up, and reach out to everyone you know.”

Coach Lauren Shaw

Fast-forward to the launch of her Beachbody Coaching career, Lauren’s already seeing her hard work paying off! Now a Success Club Top Point Earner, there’s nothing standing in her way!

My Biggest Challenge:

When things didn’t work out with my last multilevel marketing company, I got a lot of “I told you so’s” from people I cared about. Many people thought I was foolish for trying again—and that was a struggle for me. But Beachbody is different. Soon, these same people saw the money I was making and the happiness Beachbody brought me, and now I’m telling them, “I told YOU so!”

My Top Tool:

“The Business Tracker! I work two other full-time jobs so I tend to get unorganized, busy, and I lose track of what I should be doing. The business tracker saved me. It allowed me to stay on top of my leads, customers, business plan, etc. At one point I was talking with 15 people, and without this tool, I would have been lost!”

My Biggest Tip:

“Never give up. Ever. If you have a bad month, bounce back, post, follow up, and reach out to everyone you know. This is your business, and you can make it whatever you want.”

Top Point Earner for December 2014 – Bethany Roley

“My biggest obstacle with Coaching was staying true to the brand I created for myself while adding Beachbody programs to the services I offer.”

Bethany Roley

But after only three months in the Coaching world, Bethany has taken her business to a whole new level. Now she’s our Top Point Earner for December with a whopping 181 Success Club points!

Merging My Fitness Business with Coaching

My Biggest Obstacle:

“I overcame that obstacle thanks to a number of rock star Coaches who also added Coaching into their existing fitness business. They taught me how Beachbody can be an amazing compliment to my boot camp classes and to my personal training clients. Thanks to their training, I learned exactly what I needed to stay true to what I spent 10 years creating while being able to offer so many more options to my clients.”

How Coaching has Most Changed My Life:

“Beachbody had tripled my business and allowed me to work with past clients who have not been in my fitness classes for years. I can honestly say Beachbody completely changed my business as well as my life.”

Top Point Earner for October 2014 – Renelle LeBlanc

“Getting out of my comfort zone was the key to growing myself and my business.”

Renelle LeBlanc was tired of her long commute to work. Now our Success Starters Top Point Earner for October with 63 SC points, Renelle has been able to go full-time in her Coaching business. Thanks to Beachbody, she works from home and has the time for family she’s always wanted!

My Why:

“I wanted to be able to work from home. I had to commute over an hour everyday for my job, and that was taking away too much of the time and energy I needed to be a good mom and wife.”

My Biggest Challenge:

“I knew that getting out of my comfort zone was the key to growing myself and growing my business. When asked twice to be a speaker on Team calls, I didn’t want to do it because I’m afraid of talking in front of big groups. But I did the calls anyway, and I took those opportunities as growth.”

How Coaching has Most Changed My Life:

“After only two months of Coaching, I was able to quit my job and become a full-time Coach! I now have the flexibility to take time off when I want since I’m my own boss!”

Top Point Earner for September 2014 – Stephanie Daniello

“People are attracted to you because you’re real with them.”

Coach Stephanie Daniello

My Advice for Being a New Coach:

Don’t be afraid to ask questions – Being a new Coach can be very overwhelming. There is so much information to learn. Don’t be afraid to ask your Upline or your Team for help or advice.

Follow Top Coaches – These people were once brand new coaches themselves! Get to know their stories. Everyone is capable of becoming a Top Coach. Why not you?

Duplication – Don’t try and reinvent the wheel. Use scripts and systems that are already in place. They are there for a reason–they work!

Time management – Don’t think you have to respond to every text or Facebook message as soon as you get it. Set specific business hours and stick to them –people aren’t going anywhere.

Just be you – It is up to you to share your story. Even if you don’t think so, your story will inspire someone. People are attracted to you because you are real with them.

Top Point Earner for August 2014 – Angela Wierzbicky

“Being a relatable example of success is key.”

Angela Wierzbicky was tired of being “stuck” at her part-time job as an office manager. But since she’s found her passion for Coaching, this mother of two is now able to plan a life outside those office doors. Discover how this Success Starters Top Point Earner is changing lives and reaching her dreams!

My Top Tip:

“Instead of posting photos of the products, post photos of yourself using those products. Being a relatable example of success is key for attracting new business!”

My Biggest Challenge:

“Sometimes I want to help people who don’t want to help themselves. I have to remember that I can’t change the world, but I can have an enormous impact on those ready to make a change.”

How Coaching has Most Changed My Life:

“When I first got into Coaching, I did not expect the financial freedom it would give my family! Thanks to this opportunity, my family is now two months away from being debt free, we’ve saved enough money for a down payment on a house, and I’m six months away from being able to quit my job and become a stay-at-home mom!”

Top Point Earner for July 2014 – Michelle Pfile

“How much you put it is how much you’ll get out.”

Coach Michelle Pfile

Michelle Pfile knows about women’s body issues. Owner of a salon and spa, she spends her days talking with women—and nearly every conversation steers towards health and body image. Topping the charts as the Top Success Club Point Earner for July, Michelle now actively seeks to apply her experience with women to help them along their journey toward sustainable health and the self-confidence they desire!

Why I Became a Coach:

Owning a salon and spa, I talk with women about their biggest problems and fears every day. I wanted to start taking a more active roll in helping women overcome these issues—but I didn’t want to leave my business nor did I have time to become a personal trainer. Coaching was the perfect way for me to pursue my passion on my own time —while building a second business!

My Essential Training Tool:

The FAQ section! It’s at the bottom of the Coach Online Office, and (for me, at least) it was a little hard to find. But check it out. It’s a gold mine!

My Top Tip:

Stay organized and work on your business every day. Your business isn’t going to take off on its own. You have to work at it. How much you put it is how much you’ll get out—but I promise it’s worth the effort!

Top Point Earner for June 2014 – Danielle Bennett

Now, as the Top Success Club Point Earner for June, Danielle’s Coaching career is taking off faster than the planes she services—and soaring higher, too!

Danielle Bennett’s Top Tip:

“Be yourself! Being yourself builds trust and accountability between you and your clients—which is very important in this business.”

Danielle Bennett’s Biggest Challenge:

“An obstacle I faced as a new Coach was putting my personal life out there publicly. I was embarrassed of our financial issues. But I realized that by sharing my story—both my weight loss story and my financial journey—I could inspire and help people.”

What She Loves Most About Being a Beachbody Coach:

“I love the e-mails and messages I receive from my challengers and Coaches thanking me and telling me how happy they are. I love hearing their stories of success. Knowing I made a difference in someone’s life is such a powerful feeling!”

Top Point Earner for May 2014 – Kate Rohan

“Stay on top of your time management and organization.”

Kate Rohan is queen of clocks, calendars, and calculated success. A self-proclaimed “Girl Boss,” Kate’s big ambitions have helped lead her to the title of Beachbody’s Success Starters top point earner for May. Discover Kate’s top five tips for new Coaches looking to follow in her successful footsteps.

My Top Four Tips:

  1. Stay on top of your time management and organization. I am the queen of alarms—there’s so much I have to remember! My calendar is with me at all times so I can stick to my schedule, and my brain is always thinking of the next task I need to be doing.
  2. Give people a reason to read your posts. Think about things you’d want to read and learn about—then post that! Sometimes I think on ideas for days before I post. I put my heart into my fitness page!
  3. Stay on top of your own health and fitness. I know when I’m slacking on taking care of myself, I have trouble posting because I’m in a negative mindset.
  4. Don’t get wrapped up in the money. Focus on how many people you can help instead. In the end we all know that number dictates our paychecks, anyway.

Top Point Earner for April 2014 – Alisa Jeras

“Aim for the Heart, Not the Wallet.”

Registered nurse Alisa Jeras has seen too much obesity and disease. No wonder she’s working so hard to end the trend! And now she’s the Top Success Club Point Earner for April 2014. Her biggest tip for success? Focus on the customer, not just the sale!

My approach to my business changed after one of my clients told me I was too “salesy.”

As a new Coach, I was spending a lot of time on Facebook posting, “Buy this. Buy that.” When talking to customers one-on-one, I made the conversations all about which Beachbody products they needed to buy.

Then I learned, you sell the product by sharing, not pushing. You share the results people have with the fitness programs and Shakeology. You share your own results. You listen to what your customers really need, and you share your advice with them.

Once I got the idea of pushing a sale out of my head, people started reaching out to me! I didn’t have to push at all.

As for the client who called me “salesy?” She in-boxed me after I backed off a bit. Now she’s 25 pounds lighter thanks to the 21 Day Fix and is even looking into becoming a Coach. That’s what I call a win-win!

Top Point Earner for March 2014 – Mollie Jiang

“As a Beachbody Coach, I’ve left behind the idea of what’s expected and started dreaming for what’s possible!”

Want to buy your first home with cash? That’s Mollie Jiang’s goal. Our Success Starters Top Point Earner for March has big dreams that are coming true. Discover how this determined Coach is building the groundwork for her business, her life and her future house.

Ditching Old Ideals for New (and Bigger!) Dreams

I became a Beachbody Coach in January after seeing amazing results with T25. As a 24-year-old graduate from Virgina Tech with a degree in Business Information Technology, I never thought I would get into this business, but I’m super excited that I am now a part of Team Beachbody!

One of the biggest obstacles I faced as a new Coach was getting in a different mindset for how I could build a career. From a young age, my parents instilled the idea that I was supposed to work a normal, 9-5 job and get paid an average salary.

After becoming a Coach, I’ve left behind the idea of what is “expected” and “normal” and started dreaming bigger for what is “possible!”

My ‘Why’ is being able to buy a house without taking out a loan. I don’t want to be tied down to a 30-year loan, paying double the price of a house in interest. After learning about a Coach who had been able to purchase a house in cash, I knew that was a goal I wanted to set for myself. If anyone can do it, so can I!

Top Point Earner for February 2014 – Kim Ashlock

“I love knowing my Beachbody business can help me finally reach my big goals!”

Thanks to the recent launch of 21 Day Fix, there’s no better time to be a new Coach. Just ask Success Starters Top Point Earner for February, Kim Ashlock. Luring new clients with Autumn Calabrese’s miracle-working, rainbow containers, Kim created new business, overcame plateaus, and proved herself worthy of a high rank on the Success Starters scoreboard. Discover all the other tricks Kim used to quickly grow her business.

How and why did you get into Coaching?
A parent volunteer in the first grade class I teach convinced me to join her 5-Day Shakeology Challenge. After the challenge, I was hooked. I started drinking Shakeology every day and ended up losing 20 lbs. So I joined as a Coach so I could pay for my husband and I to drink Shakeology. As a teacher, I don’t make a ton of money, so I was excited about the earning potential of Coaching.

What is an obstacle you faced as a new Coach, and how did you overcome it?
I hit a point of frustration while working with 30 different people who all claimed they were interested in being a Beachbody customer but couldn’t afford it.

Then the 21 Day Fix launched. All of a sudden, I had 25 orders coming in. I was shocked. Almost all of the people I had supported for the last few months had decided to go with The 21 Day Fix. This taught me to never give up. You never know what’s going to end up piquing your customers’ interest.

Which Beachbody tools were most important for launching your business?
I’m not an expert in all of the programs (I’ve only completed three), but I have all the information I need to sound like an expert in these programs. These resources in the Coach Online Office helped me feel professional and knowledgeable from the beginning.

What advice do you have for Coaches who are struggling to get their businesses off the ground?
Be proof the products work: Drink Shakeology. Use the programs. Let your family and friends watch you transform.

Do a 5-Day Challenge at least once a month for your customers who are not yet ready to commit to a 30+ day program.

Make sure to get to “Emerald” as soon as you can so you can get company leads!

What are some of your Coaching goals for the future?
I want to make SC10 each month and hit Diamond by the end of summer. My husband and I will be at Coach Summit this year, and I know it’ll push my business even further! Most importantly? I’m striving to make enough to pay off over $25,000 in student loans. I love knowing that with my Beachbody business, I can finally reach my big goals!

Top Point Earner for January 2014 – Amanda Norder

“I love that I’m in a business where I can set big goals and actually reach them!”

Why waste a year fulfilling your New Year’s resolution when you can knock it out of the park in the first month? That’s Amanda Norder’s philosophy.

Kicking off 2014 as January’s Top Point Earner, Amanda proves a proactive work ethic and a positive attitude are all it takes to rack up Success Club points. Find out how Amanda started her year with a huge win.

How and why did you get into Coaching?
After participating in a Challenge Group, I was inspired to become a Coach and help others. Beachbody helped me clean up my eating and incorporate exercise into my everyday routine for the first time in 25 years. After having so much success, I knew it was my mission to help others achieve the same.

What Beachbody tools played the biggest role in growing your business?
The Coach Online Office taught me more general aspects of the business, and Coaches’ YouTube channels provided the details (such as how to setup a Facebook page, how to use social media to promote the business, etc.). All the information you need is already out there!

What obstacles did you face as a new Coach, and how did you overcome them?
The amount of information to learn can be overwhelming at first. I decided to take it slowly. I’d watch a video or two a day and take details notes. If there was something I didn’t know, I’d research and find my answer.

What do you think you did differently that made you excel the way you did?
I can relate to many different people. For as long as I can remember, people have always felt comfortable both confiding in me and looking to me for support. I try to be that strong person for everyone. Anyone who reaches out to me can see my passion for Beachbody.

Is there specific strategy you take in recruiting new business or Coaches?
Recruiting new Coaches is the toughest part for me. It’s easier, though, when you approach people who’ve been through a Challenge group – they have a better understanding. When I see someone in my Challenge Group going above and beyond—encouraging and offering advice to other challengers—I suggest they consider Coaching. Nine times out of ten, they say, “Yes!”

What is your Why? How was this a driving force in building your business?
Aside from helping other families get healthy, my ‘Why’ is to pay off all my family’s debt—the house, the cars, everything! I’m also saving money for my kids’ education and family trips. I love that I’m in a business where I can set big goals and actually reach them!

Top Point Earners for December 2013 – Victoria Heyman & Sarah Mahilo

“I am relentless. I will absolutely not rest until my goals are met!” – Victoria Heyman
“I love what I’m doing!” – Sarah Mahilo

This December, in the battle for Top Point Earner two Coaches tied. Discover how both Victoria Heyman and Sarah Mahilo launched their Beachbody careers and proved themselves worthy of Success Starter royalty!

Introducing Victoria Heyman

How and why did you get into Coaching?
After my first pregnancy, I joined a friend’s Challenge Group. I fell in love with the support and accountability!

What are some important actions you have taken to grow your business?
I’ve spent many hours on YouTube watching videos from Top Coaches, the Training Academy, and countless others. I always tune into the National Wake Up to keep the fire lit and to learn tips from the best in the business. And of course I rely on the Coach Basics program.

What obstacles did you face as a new Coach and how did you overcome them
One of my biggest fears was coming off as a salesperson. But by going through the training and listening other Coaches’ advice, I learned I only need to share my passion and story in order to find success.

How have the 3 Vital Behaviors helped you launch your business?
There is a reason for the 3 Vital Behaviors. When you stick to them, it is very hard to fail.

I invite as many people as I can to live a healthier life. I work on Personal Development to become a better leader. And I absolutely make sure I’m a product of the product. It’s great when your job requires you to work out!

What is your “Why”? How was this a driving force in building your business?
My ‘Why’ is to add value to people’s lives—whether that means my own, my family’s, my friend, or a complete stranger.

What are your future goals both in the short term and long term?
My goals for this year include helping at least thirty people get healthy and fit and to get my family out of debt.

My longer-term goals include hitting Elite in 2015 and living completely present in my family’s financially stress-free life.

Introducing Sarah Mahilo

How and why did you get into Coaching?
I lost 75 lbs. with Focus T25 and Shakeology—I even won $1,000 in October 2013 for my transformation! After getting such great results, I felt passionate about helping others get healthy, too.

What Beachbody tools played the biggest role in growing your business?
The leaders of my Coach Basics group set me up with all I need to be successful. We have our own meetings, calls, and webinars.

What obstacles did you face as a new Coach and how did you overcome them?
I had to get used to peoples’ “no’s” and excuses. But now, I don’t let the “no’s” get to me. I understand that a “no” now, isn’t a “no” forever!

What do you think you did differently that made you excel the way you did?
I see so much potential in this business. I’m giving it my all because I know I have a lot to achieve!

What is your “why”? How was this a driving force in building your business?
One of my big ‘Why’s’ is financial stability. By working for myself and making my own hours, I could stay home and spend more time raising my kids!

Top Point Earner for November 2013 – Kevin Dornian

“I believe in Beachbody. I believe in the process. I believe in the TEAM!”

Canadian probation officer Kevin Dornian used his gift for helping others to build a lucrative business and spend more time with his family. Learn how he jumped into Coaching and was named our Success Stories Top Point Earner for November.

How and why did you get into Coaching?
My fiancé Marissa and I started Focus T25, and in 10 weeks I lost 54 lbs and she lost 40 lbs. Seeing the results we could achieved, made us want to pay it forward.

What Beachbody tools played the biggest role in growing your business?
I immersed myself within Beachbody. I read and watched everything.  Plus, I began expanding my knowledge of online advertising and marketing so I could reach as many people as possible to help end the trend of obesity and build my Beachbody business!

What obstacles did you face as a new Coach, and how did you overcome them
My biggest obstacle was developing a comprehension of Beachbody products, online advertising, organization structure, etc. This is where self-directed learning has played a major factor. Coaches need to immerse themselves in the information and absorb as much as possible.

What do you think you did differently that made you excel the way you did?
I believed in Beachbody. I believed in the process. I believed in my Upline Coaches. I believed I could provide a better life for my family. I was not afraid to step up and help lead along side well-established Coaches. I incorporated my personal strengths with their strengths. I believed in the TEAM!

Is there a particular approach you take in recruiting new business or Coaches?
I look for people with open minds who believe in their Beachbody journey. I tell these people about Coaching and once they’ve signed up to be a Coach, I provide them with all the support they need. I honestly believe Beachbody is about paying it forward, and that’s what I do.

What is your “Why”? How was this a driving force in building your business?
My ‘Why’ is my family. I believe you work hard to provide a better life for those you care about. Sadly, by working hard, putting in overtime, and moving up the ranks at a thankless job, you actually lose the most important part of your life. . . family! I love what I do, but I love my family more.

Top Point Earner for October 2013 – Jamie McDonald

“I learned to get over my fear and dive in!”

Top Point Earner for October, Jamie McDonald, is full of enthusiasm when it comes her Beachbody business. Learn how this eager Coach is forging ahead in her new business!

How and why did you get into Coaching?
A few months ago, I caught myself smoking a cigarette and drinking my fifth soda that day. I realized this is not what I want. I reached out to one of my friends who was also a Coach, and she got me started with a Body Beast Challenge Pack. My husband and my kids joined me in the venture. We grew closer as a family and we’re finally out of our long-standing unhealthy rut.

What Beachbody tools played the biggest role in growing your business?
The Coach Online Office is the first place I go to every morning. I’m constantly using the training tools as a way to motivate my team, and the Challenge Group training guide is great—it helps me decide daily what I should post and when.

What obstacles did you face as a new Coach, and how did you overcome them?
Learning how to reach out to people was tricky. I had to practice getting to know clients through Facebook instead of in-person and knowing what to say when a new conversation starts. I also learned not to worry too much about the people that got annoyed by my fitness posts on Facebook. More than likely, they’re the ones that needed it the most—so I keep on motivating.

What do you think you did differently that made you excel the way you did?
I wanted this really badly. I wanted to be a huge contributor to my team and helping others feels so good. I was hooked the first time someone came up to me and told me they had lost 5 lbs. with Beachbody.

Is there a particular approach you take in recruiting new business or Coaches?
I follow my intuition. When recruiting new Coaches you can tell someone is going to thrive when they’re already motivating people. Sometimes I approach clients about becoming a Coach after they finish a program, but sometimes I recruit them for the Coaching business right away.

What are your future goals?
I would love to be a 15-Star Diamond Coach one day. Not only would that symbolize how many lives I’ve changed but I’d have the financial freedom to do things with my family – like take them on vacation without thinking twice about cost!

Top Point Earner for September 2013 – J.D. Folsom

“This is the first time we feel like our big dreams are within reach!”

They say it’s lonely at the top, but not for September’s Top Point Earner J.D. Folsom. Teaming up with his wife Micah, this power couple topped September’s Success Starters ranks, proving that teamwork does, in fact, make the dream work. Learn how this triumphant duo kicked off their Coaching careers.

How did you both get into Coaching?
J.D.:
Micah introduced me to Insanity® after she had our first baby. Three rounds of Insanity and another baby later, we were hooked on Beachbody!

Micah: Yeah, it started with me wanting to get my pre-baby body back, and it culminated with a love for Insanity, Shakeology®, and pretty much anything Beachbody. We knew we owed it to others to share these amazing products!

What Beachbody tools played the biggest role in growing your business?
J.D.: We dove into the Coach Online Office and Coach Training Academy right away. We also joined a training group hosted by Mindy Wender on Facebook. We soaked up everything we could. Plus, we became Coaches a couple months before Coach Basics came out, so we’re now using that to train all of our new Coaches.

What obstacles did you face as a new Coach, and how did you overcome them?
J.D.: It’s currently my busiest year as a vet student, so time is my biggest obstacle. Mostly, I let Micah do the busy work for our business, and I help out when I can. I guess you could say my wife is how I overcome obstacles!

Micah: My biggest obstacle was getting people to see the value in what I had to offer and learning how the business worked. I focused on being a product of the product, and when times got tough, it was daily personal development that kept me positive.

Is there a particular approach you take in recruiting new business or Coaches?J.D.: We are BIG challenge group advocates. We run one or two new groups each month, and that’s how we build our business. 90% of our Coaches started out as normal challengers who fell in love with the programs and Shakeology.

Micah: And challengers are the people that make the best Coaches because they already have their own success stories to share.

What is your “Why”? How was this a driving force in building your business?
J.D.:
My “Why” for getting started as a Coach was to stay healthy and fit. To be honest, though, I wanted to support Micah.

Micah: My ‘Why’ for getting started was to hold myself accountable. I knew that if I became a Coach, I would make time for my workouts and healthy meals every day. Also, to begin with I just wanted to make enough to cover Shakeology, but it only took a couple weeks to realize how much I loved running challenge groups and being a part of changing someone’s life.

What are your future goals as Coaches?
J.D.:
Our short-term goal is to help at least 10 new people every month in our challenge groups. We also want to keep training our Coaches to be sharers, not sellers. That is what brings lasting success.

Micah: We’d also love to pay off J.D.’s vet school student loans, and have him graduate without debt. We want to create a life of financial freedom so our family can travel whenever we want and build our dream home on a big piece of land.

We are so excited about the possibilities that Beachbody Coaching has given us. We dream big, and this is the first time we feel like our big dreams are within reach!

Top Point Earner for August 2013-Carly Del Carlo

“The day that changed my life forever—the day I became a Beachbody Coach”

In launching our new Success Starters program, we knew that we were about to witness new Coaches launching their careers with an ambition never seen before. But still, we were utterly blown away when we learned about Top Point Earner Carly Del Carlo who managed to rack up 86 Success Club points for the month of September! Read on to learn how this 23-year-old coaching machine took the Team Beachbody world by storm!

Tell us a little bit about your background and how you got into coaching.
I graduated 18 months ago from UCLA on a pre-law track, but I ended up declining law school because I realized that wasn’t where my passion was. While I was trying to figure out my next step in life, I happened to gain 35 lbs.

I decided to become a Coach after participating in a challenge group and falling in love with my Beachbody workouts and of course Shakeology! After losing those 35 lbs., I knew I had an opportunity to help other people. May 1, 2013 was the day that changed my life forever—the day I became a Beachbody Coach.

What Beachbody tools played the biggest role in growing your business?
What helped me grow my business was staying passionate about telling my story and spreading the word about my love for Beachbody. Now that I have 22 personally sponsored Coaches, Coach Basics and the Coach Training Academy are KEY in helping my Coaches learn how to be their absolute best while helping others and growing their own businesses.

What obstacles did you face as a new Coach and how did you overcome them?
My biggest obstacle has been myself. I put off becoming a coach for two months because I was afraid of so many things. Would people actually want to hear my story? Does anyone think highly enough of me to want me as their Coach? Over the last few months, I have 100% embraced my weight loss story and my passion for being a Coach. I dream big which allows me to focus on my future rather than my fear. I set goals, and I do my best to crush them!

What approach to your business do you think has made you excel the most?
What has made me excel is the amount of time and energy I put into getting to know my challengers and anyone who reaches out to me for help. I have had almost 150 customers in five months, and I feel like each one is my friend. They all have a unique story, and I make sure to learn what exactly it is.

My team is the other key to my success. My up-line Diamond and Star Diamond Coaches have been an incredible support system, along with every single member of our team. I always tell my team of personally sponsored Coaches that we are a family, and no victory is too small to celebrate!

Is there a particular approach you take in recruiting new challengers or Coaches?
Recruiting Coaches ties into how I run my challenge groups and who I am as a Coach in general. I usually form relationships with people FIRST as challengers and then watch their journeys unfold as they fall in love with Beachbody.

I didn’t start focusing on building my team of Coaches until this last September. In just the past two months, my team of personally sponsored Coaches has grown from four to twenty-two (and growing!). Watching the success of my Coaches is just as important to me as growing my own business.

What is your “Why”? How is this a driving force in building your business?
My “Why” is my passion. My passion for health, fitness, and helping others is exactly what drives my business. The mantra that I tell my team daily is “Be Kind. Be Passionate. Tell Your Story”. And that is exactly what I do!

What are your future goals for your business?
To start, I plan on being a 5-Star Diamond Coach in time for the Beachbody cruise in March. The other big dreams I have are owning my own home by my 27th birthday in 2017 and being the youngest ever 15-Star Diamond Coach. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!

All About Autumn

Busy Mom. Motivator. Entreprenuer. Fitness expert Autumn Calabrese is all that—and much, much more! Her current role? The brain center and trainer behind Beachbody’s hot new program, 21 Day Fix. From motivational tips to musical taste, we’ve got the not- so-well-known details on the queen of lean!

Say hello to the newest member of the Beachbody family of trainers, motivational maven, Autumn Calabrese. This national-level bikini competitor is the real deal and her highly-anticipated new program, 21 Day Fix™, is a three-week plan to the promised land. But before you jump on the FIX, here’s a great opportunity to get to know Autumn. Read on in our exclusive interview.

1) What motivated you to develop 21 Day Fix™?
As a trainer, my only goal is to get people results. So when I watched my clients put so much energy into their workouts and not get maximum results, it really frustrated me. When that’s not happening, I feel like I’m failing them. Once I realized that overeating was the biggest problem for most people, I knew I needed to do something to help.

2) Give us a quick overview of the 21 Day Fix program:
Simple fitness and simple nutrition. The program is designed to help you lose up to 15 pounds in just 21 days by combining portion control with easy-to-follow, 30-minute workouts. If it fits in the container, you can eat it. The only decision you have to make is what delicious food you’re in the mood for. When you get proper nutrition and add in butt-whooping workouts, it adds up to life-changing results.

3) What’s the best piece of advice you ever received?
My dad always told me that if you do something you love, you will never work a day in your life. He was right!

4) How do you juggle being a busy mom and a trainer?
I’m like Nike—I just do it. It’s not something I think about. I just know what needs to be done and I make it happen.

5) What kind of music pumps you up while you work out?
If people heard my playlists they would be shocked. I’m mostly a hip hop girl, but I guess it depends on my mood. Sometimes I listen to the fun stuff you hear on the radio, and other times it’s a bit more of the grimy stuff that would NEVER make the Top 40!

6) What’s ONE thing people don’t know about you?
I was never the popular kid. In fact, there were a few years in my early teens where I was very chubby with bad hair and braces. Needless to say, I got picked on a LOT.

7) What are your top motivational tips?

Fitness tips:

  • Take it one workout at a time, and one meal at a time.
  • Don’t diet! Eat according to your goals.
  • You can do anything for a minute. When it comes to these workouts, focus on the minute you’re in.
  • It’s not always about the scale. See how you feel and how your clothes are fitting. Sometimes the scale isn’t moving, but you’re still shrinking.

Life tips:

  • Wake up every day and make the choice to do better. No one will do it for you.
  • Focus on making lifestyle changes that will last a lifetime.
  • A failure isn’t a failure if it prepares you for success tomorrow.
  • If you have a set back, don’t get discouraged and give up. Keep moving forward. Success takes time.
  • It’s great to have big goals, but it’s also nice to have some small ones along the way. It allows you to celebrate your accomplishments!

That’s all for now from Autumn. But for more behind-the-scenes sneak peeks “Like” the 21 Day Fix Facebook page. For more information make sure to visit 21DayFix.com and FAQ numbers 9327, 9728, 9729 and 9730 in the Coach Online Office.

Smitten With Strawberry!

What could Shakeology® do to add to its already incredible legacy? How about a sinfully delicious, new Strawberry flavor that’s sure to delight your senses. Learn the story behind the flavor, all the awesome health benefits, and why pitching it to your customers will be as smooth as the shake itself! Get all the sweet details!

Ready for your biggest crush this Valentine’s Day? Meet the absolutely irresistible, new Strawberry Shakeology®!

Yes, the newest addition to the prestigious Shakeology family is already a smashing success. It’s delicious. It’s nutritious. And dare we say; it might just become your new soul-mate shake.

VP of Shakeology, Carolina Gutnisky, gives us a little background on the birth of the new Strawberry flavor. “Ever since the launch of Tropical Strawberry, it was our intention to provide a whey-based strawberry option,” she explains.

“Coaches and Customers loved the refreshing taste of Tropical Strawberry, but wanted a creamier and smoother strawberry flavor.”

In other words, you asked for it, we made it, and the rest is Shakeology history.

There’s something about Strawberry
So what exactly is the difference between Tropical Strawberry and the new Strawberry flavor, you ask? While Tropical Strawberry Shakeology is vegan and a blend of several fruit and berry flavors, the new Strawberry flavor is whey protein based (non vegan) and, well—all about the strawberries.

No other fruit flavors added. Just sweet, delicious, oh-so-satisfying strawberries. And if you want to talk texture, this shake is one smooth operator. So essentially, you’re getting a sweet-tasting shake that’s also incredibly smooth and creamy. Not a bad combination, folks.

Savor the new light flavor. Refreshing. Fruity. Delicious. Word on the street says the new Strawberry Shakeology is a slam-dunk winner in the all-important flavor department. Bursting with mouthwatering and succulent strawberries, how could it be anything less than awesome? “I’m a big chocoholic and have been drinking Chocolate Shakeology for 5 years, but strawberry has become my go-to breakfast now,” says Carolina. “It just makes me happy. Hard to explain, but it really does!”

Here’s a few quotes from some of our Strawberry panelists:

“Impressed with this flavor. Very sweet tasting. Really tastes like a strawberry milkshake!”

“It is amazing! NO CHALKY Aftertaste! I absolutely love it!”

“I absolutely loved it! Perfect texture and flavor! Goes down easy and smooth.”

After all this love and attention, it’s clear Strawberry deserves to have somewhat of an ego. But how does it stack up health-wise?

Delicious for your body, too.
Sure, Strawberry is outrageously delicious, but let’s not forget about all the goodness it gives to your body.

First, Strawberry has the same protein blend and nutrient profile as Chocolate, Vanilla, and Greenberry. What’s more, it still contains over 70 healthy ingredients, including many nutrient-dense  superfoods from around the world.

So with either Chocolate, Vanilla, Greenberry, or Strawberry you’re getting almost all the same levels of superfoods, vitamins and minerals—not to mention your daily dose of dense nutrition! Bottom line? It’s still the healthiest shake in the nutritional galaxy. By a landslide.

Think inside the box
For those of you who prefer not to be monogamous with just one Shakeology flavor, here’s a little something just for you: the awesome, new Triple Combo Box featuring Strawberry Shakeology. Think of it like the Neopolitan ice cream box of 3 flavors—only about a thousand times better for you!

No reason to say goodbye to your current favorite flavor. Just mix it up. On a daily basis. And as far as creative recipes go, you can’t get much better. Check out some great recipe options here and visit //www.shakeology.com/shake-recipes for even more!

Sweet opportunities for your business
One of the biggest reasons to be excited about the new strawberry flavor? The opportunities it will bring to your business! With strawberry on the scene, you’ll have prospects everywhere you turn. After all, strawberry is often the most popular flavor right behind chocolate and vanilla.

If your customers are tired of drinking one flavor every day for the month? The Triple Combo Box will give you an instant way to overcome objections. Variety anyone? The Triple Combo Box contains 24 single-serving packets. (That’s eight packets each of Chocolate, Vanilla, and Strawberry for those of you keeping score at home). Customers and prospects can sample to their heart’s content and make a different shake every day.

So get your Strawberry swagger on, and help make the new flavor a certified success!

For more information on Strawberry visit: www.shakeology.com and FAQ 9653 in the Coach Online Office. And for even more tools to help you share Strawberry with your Coaches and customers make sure to check out the three new eCards in the ‘Featured’ eCard section of the Coach Online Office.

Coupling Up for Success

Nothing says, “accountability,” like waking up next to your success partner every morning. Perhaps that’s why so many Coaching couples are finding double the success. See how Coaches Dennis and Julie Fowler prove that teamwork makes the dream work, both at home and in business.

5-Star Diamond Coaches (as well as high school sweethearts) Dennis and Julie Fowler enjoy all the benefits of being full-time Coaches together. Sharing a home office. Having time for their kids. Taking stellar family vacations together. Working for a company they believe in. These two fitness renegades know that success is so much more satisfying when you share your passions and dreams with someone else.

“Coaching together has made us a stronger couple,” Dennis explains.

“Not only is it great for the relationship, but it’s great for the business,” Julie expands. “When you share a vision with someone, you’re going to work that much harder to make your dreams come to life!”

Whether it’s your spouse, partner, friend, or collaborator you work exceptionally well with, one thing’s for certain: It pays (literally!) to have a partner working with you.

The Ying to Your Yang
One of the best ways to utilize your business buddy is by embracing the different skills you both bring to the table. Dennis and Julie are prime examples of that.

“We both have our different strengths,” Julie states. “I’m the organized one who’s good at explaining logistics and how to execute Coach goals. Dennis brings the passion and gets Coaches pumped up.”

Dennis adds, “By pulling together our strengths and knowing when to let the other take the lead, we’re able to deliver so much more to our customers and Downline than we would working alone. It’s definitely important to have a success partner that compliments your skills!”

A Little Friendly Competition
Another perk of having a close Coaching comrade? Friendly competition.

“I’m competitive, so it’s important for me to have a success partner who will constantly push me to excel. Push me to achieve a higher rank. Push me to collect more Success Club points,” Julie says.

“Oh yeah!” Dennis laughs. “It’s always a race to Success Club!” Not to be left out of the loop, their two kids, Madison (11) and Jackson (9) get in on the competition, too.

“Our kids are constantly fueling that friendly battle between us, always checking up on who has more Success Club points and pushing us to beat out each other,” Julie explains. “They both plan on being Coaches when they turn 18, so they feel very invested in our business! It’s very inspiring!” Dennis says.

Lead by example
Although a powerhouse couple now, Dennis and Julie’s Coaching journey originally got off to a rocky start.

“She only loved the workouts, and I only loved the business,” Dennis recalls. “It was a struggle at first because we weren’t very supportive of each other.” It wasn’t until Dennis started making money that Julie came around to the business side of Beachbody. And once Julie got Dennis into the workouts, Dennis’s connection with the products really clicked and his business took off.

Now seasoned Coaches, Dennis and Julie find a lot of their Downline Coaches experiencing similar friction with their significant others.

“If you want your partner to fall in love with Beachbody like you did, keep working hard and keep being passionate about your Coaching business,” Julie advises. “Help people. Earn money. Don’t push your partner into being a Coach, just prove that your business works.”

In other words, let the money and results speak for themselves.

She goes on, “Ask your spouse for help with your business—not as a Coach, but as your partner. Once they realize the positive effect they can have on others, it’s likely they’ll want to get more and more involved with the business.”

An Accountability Partner is Key
Whether you turn to your spouse or a fellow Coach you met at Summit, both Dennis and Julie agree that accountability partners are pivotal to achieving top-tier success.

“I would say that a success partner is something every Coach should have,” Dennis explains. “Friends and family outside the business are great, but only a fellow Coach will really get what you’re going through.”

Julie adds, “Find someone who’s like-minded like you. Someone who cares about this opportunity. Someone you can confide in. Someone you can rely on to pump you up, help you with your goals, and remind you of why you’re doing this.”

So take the leap, buddy up, and get out there!

Coach’s Playbook:

  • Find an accountability partner who compliments your strengths and weakness. In this relationship, know when to lead and know when to learn.
  • Encourage your spouse to help you with your business—not as a Coach, but as your partner.
  • Encourage friendly competition with your partner!
  • Let yourself be emotionally vulnerable with your accountability partner. Sometimes we need to let our guard down so we can get the help we need.

But they have one key thing in common: in 2013 they worked tirelessly to end the trend of obesity and now they are your   Top 10 Elite Coaches.  How did they get there? What tricks and tips do they have up their sleeves? Read our informative and enlightening Q & A to find out.

This year, it’s almost an entirely new crew at the top of the Coaching world. How did they get there and how can their success help make your 2014 the best year yet?

The Elite 10 have the answers.

From favorite Personal Development books to effective and consistent habits, the Top 10 are more than willing to share their strategies for success. Read on and discover some insider tips that could have YOU sitting at the top next year.

Top Coach:
1) Lindsay Matway

Hometown: Clearwater, FL
Coach status: Superstar Diamond
What year you started Coaching: 2009

1) What three words describe your Coaching mentality? Passionate, focused, determined
2) What does it take to be a successful Coach? A successful Coach must be ready to face their biggest obstacle – themselves! Truth is, you can’t “help” anyone. You can only inspire them with your example!
3) Who has inspired/mentored you on your journey to the top? And how? Ultimately, my biggest inspiration/mentor is the vision God gave me for what was possible if I let go of my excuses and simply got to work! I started observing what other top Coaches were doing and asked myself, “How could I put my own spin on this?”
4) What advice would you give to a new Coach? Approach this business like you would approach going to school or buying a franchise. You will have to study, invest your time and be consistent with the little things before you can expect a payoff.
5) Did you hit any roadblocks last year? How did you overcome them? My biggest roadblocks last year were time management and delegation. There’s only so much of me to go around. I had to learn to let go of control.
6) What is your favorite personal development book, talk or leader? And why? The most life-changing read is “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren.

2) Melanie Mitro

Hometown: Mars, PA
Coach status: Super Star Diamond Coach
What year you started Coaching: 2011

1) Three words to describe your Coaching mentality: Consistent, Motivated, Passionate
2) What does it take to be a successful Coach? I run one (sometimes two) Challenge Groups every month. This is a great way to ensure that you will always have customers who are getting results, becoming advocates and transitioning into great Coaches.
3) Who has inspired/mentored you on your journey to the top? And how? My husband has been a tremendous support system. Without him by my side I would not be where I am today!
4) What advice would you give to a new Coach? For new Coaches, there’s no magic tip or skill. It’s the daily activities done each and every day with energy and pizazz that over time bring about compounding results.
5) Did you hit any roadblocks last year? How did you overcome them? When the going gets tough I always rely on Personal Development, family and faith. I think it’s great to have an accountability partner that is on your level. Together you can compare notes and strategies when you hit a roadblock (one word). It’s important to realize that roadblocks don’t equal future failure.
6) What’s your favorite personal development book, talk or leader? And why? I love John C. Maxwell. His books and videos gave me vision and clarity with my Team. I also recommend “Go Pro” by Eric Worre for a good start to Personal Development.

3) Jenelle Summers

Hometown: Toledo, OH
Coach status: 15-Star, 15-Star, 7-Star, and 1-Star Diamond Qualifying (4 CBC’s)
What year you started Coaching: 2008

1) Three words to describe your Coaching mentality: Passion, Drive, Consistency.
2) What does it take to be a successful Coach? A successful Coach is willing to learn and apply what they’ve learned despite their hesitations and fears. They need to understand their own strengths and weaknesses so they can embrace the strengths and work on the weaknesses. If you think there are short cuts, you’ll shortcut your potential.
3) Who has inspired/mentored you on your journey to the top? And how? I’ve been inspired by many other Coaches and Personal Development guru’s, but I’ve learned the most from my sister, Chalene Johnson and from watching my Dad growing up. He’s an entrepreneur who worked extremely hard and never gave up.
4) What advice would you give to a new Coach? Be present in trainings. Apply what you learn over and over until it becomes more comfortable and you find effective habits and systems. Have an unstoppable, positive attitude and don’t give up!
5) Did you hit any roadblocks last year? How did you overcome them? I pulled a hamstring sprinting in the Spring of last year. I’m focusing on the positives – working out when I can and focusing on nutrition (of course drinking Shakeology daily). Hopefully I can inspire others to move forward and become more determined when their back is against the wall.
6) What is your favorite Personal Development book, talk or leader? And why? I’d have to say Chalene Johnson first and foremost! Other favorites are Brendon Burchard, Brian Tracy, Darren Hardy or John Maxwell.

4) Scott Hobbs

Hometown: Idaho Falls, Idaho
Coach status: 7 Star Diamond
What year you started Coaching: April 2011

1) Three words to describe your Coaching mentality: BELIEF, INTEGRITY, HELP
2) What does it take to be a successful Coach? To be a successful Coach you have to believe that you can make an impact on people’s lives. You also need to understand that success is not determined by rank or income. Success is found in your daily behaviors and actions.
3) Who has inspired/mentored you on your journey to the top? And how? My Coach Lindsay, as well as many other Elite Coaches have inspired me from day one. I followed all Elite Coaches, and listened to every National Coach call. One Coach that I aspire to be like is Traci Morrow.
4) What advice would you give to a new Coach? Trust the process. Do the daily activities that we are teaching you with faith. It’s a 2000+ year-old truth: If you give, you will receive. Help people no matter what and hustle every day.
5) Did you hit any roadblocks last year? How did you overcome them? I had 9 Coaches become Diamonds and only 2 of them were current paid Diamonds when the year ended. I believed fully that I would be a 15 Star Diamond and I didn’t even come close. I was able to overcome this by looking at the good and the positive in every situation I encountered.
6) What is your favorite Personal Development book, talk or leader? And why? A mentor is not somebody that does things for you. They are somebody that has achieved what you want to achieve. My biggest mentor is John C Maxwell. I have never spoken with him but have read of 20 of his books. He has taught me that if I want people around me to do more and be better, I have to become better.

5) Amber Scott

Hometown: Seattle is my hometown, I live in San Diego now
Coach status: 5 Star
What year you started Coaching: 1.1.11

1) Three words to describe your Coaching mentality: Unfaltering. Genuine. Fun.
2) What does it take to be a successful Coach? Resilience.
3) Who has inspired/mentored you on your journey to the top? Coby Mitchell from corporate and Tim O’Kelly of Benchmark Courses, first and foremost. Monica Ward, Hillary Kelly, Jason Diebold, had a huge impact on my business on the Coach side, just to name a few. Without a direct Upline of my own I really learned to follow from afar as well and love Barbie Decker, Scottie Hobbs, Lindsay Matway and so so so many more.
4) What advice would you give to a new Coach? Decide right now that quitting is not an option. If quitting is not a choice, you will find a way to succeed.
5) Did you hit any roadblocks last year? How did you overcome them? There were moments when I had no idea if I could pull it off, if I was good enough, if my Team was big enough, etc. The one thing I always did was focus on what I was really doing here. If I didn’t make Top 10, would I still be proud of my work?
6) What is your favorite personal development book, talk or leader? And why? My go-to for all my Coaches and Challengers is “The Compound Effect” by Darren Hardy. It applies to business, fitness, finance, relationships and more. That book is life changing if you let it be!

6) Meghan Wiczynski

Hometown: Toledo, OH
Coach status: 9 star qualifying in 1st cbc, 4 star qualifying in 2nd cbc
What year you started Coaching: July 2009

1) Three words to describe your Coaching mentality: Driven, Innovator, Compassionate
2) What does it take to be a successful Coach? Figure out your goals and priorities and line them up with your daily actions. When I embraced a healthy lifestyle and focused on putting 2-3 tasks on my daily to-do list that supported my goals
for the month/year, I accomplished so much more.
3) Who has inspired/mentored you on your journey to the top? And how? Jenelle Summers has been extremely helpful from the beginning of my Coaching career. She has always been there to give me advice and help me focus on the real purpose of Coaching. I am truly blessed to have her in my life.
4) What advice would you give to a new Coach? Jump in with both feet first. This is a business where you learn as you go. Success is based off helping as many people as you can.
5) Did you hit any roadblocks last year? How did you overcome them? I In August I was in a severe car accident and broke my wrist. I had to have surgery and had no idea how I would be able to stay in touch with my Team and customers since I couldn’t type with my right hand. I embraced this roadblock and took it as a way to show people to NEVER GIVE UP. I invested in the Dragon Dictate program where I could dictate to the computer and did low-impact workouts that did not hurt my wrist. I didn’t miss a beat.
6) What is your favorite Personal Development book, talk or leader? And why? I love Chalene Johnson. Her 30-Day PUSH program helped me at the beginning of 2013 when I fell short of the Top 10 by one spot.

7) Lauren Duke

Hometown: Bartlesville, OK
Coach status: 7 Star Diamond
What year you started Coaching: July 2012

1) Three words to describe your Coaching mentality: Not about you!
2) What does it take to be a successful Coach? Passion, consistency and sharing. It takes getting over yourself and having the willingness to step out of your comfort zone to help others. It also takes someone who isn’t afraid to build relationships and do the work it takes to grow and mentor.
2) Who has inspired/mentored you on your journey to the top? And how? My Team has been incredibly supportive and I’m humbled by how they stepped up and set huge goals. My go-to people were and still are: Coby Mitchell, Jessica Nelson, Whitney Carlstone, Kelly Holton, Amber Bailey, Katey Carlson and Andi Hauk. I’ve received the most support from my incredible family though. My husband, kids, parents and extended family have always believed in me!
3) What advice would you give to a new Coach? I tell my new Coaches to use their excitement to share. Invite people to join you and encourage one another.
4) Did you hit any roadblocks last year? How did you overcome them? My husband is active duty Air Force and so we packed up the family and moved on the way to Summit and Summer camp, but I continued to invite and share and connect with my Team!
5) What is your favorite personal development book, talk or leader? And why? I developed a love for John C. Maxwell after hearing him at Summit last year.

8) Brandi Botts

Hometown: Currently living in Paso Robles, CA ; from Fort Worth, TX
Coach status: 9 Star Diamond
What year you started Coaching: January 27th, 2012

1) Three words to describe your Coaching mentality: Passionate, Self-less, Consistent
2) What does it take to be a successful Coach? You have to know that it’s not about YOU. It’s about helping other people be successful whether it’s seeing more fitness results or helping them learn to grow their businesses.
3) Who has inspired/mentored you on your journey to the top? And how? The ones that have had the biggest role in my journey are Mindy Wender and Amanda Arnwine. They are both incredible leaders, friends, and have always led by example.
4) What advice would you give to a new Coach? Commit to being here in ONE YEAR. Push aside excuses and be in it for the long haul. The more you give the more you receive so help others even when there is nothing in return for you!
5) Did you hit any roadblocks last year? How did you overcome them? Some days you don’t want to show up and you would rather sleep in, but you just have to think about WHY you are doing this in the first place.
6) What is your favorite personal development book, talk or leader? And why? My favorite is the “21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership” by John Maxwell. Ever since he spoke at Summit last year he’s been a favorite of mine.

9) Heather Foltz

Hometown: Blaine, MN
Coach status: 8 Star Diamond
What year you started Coaching: 2011

1) Three words to describe your Coaching mentality: Authentic, Selfless, Committed
2) What does it take to be a successful Coach? You need to let your guard down and accept vulnerability. Don’t focus on yourself, but on those around you. Each Coach needs to follow the three vital behaviors every day. There are always people to invite, so never limit yourself. Each day, I ask myself, “How can I help someone today?”
3) Who has inspired/mentored you on your journey to the top? And how? My biggest inspiration in 2013 is my good friend and 5 star Coach, Tina Gonzales. She and I have very similar personalities, drive, and goals. Watching her succeed this past year kept me on my toes and helped push me to push my Team.
4) What advice would you give to a new Coach? Do not be afraid to fail. Do not be afraid of the ‘no’s’ you may receive. This will make you a better person, a better Coach, and a better leader.
5) Did you hit any roadblocks last year? How did you overcome them? My Diamond Coaches started falling rank and negativity and stress entered our Team. I took a step back and reached out to my Coaches and asked what their long-term goals were. Most got their Diamond rank back within a month or so by refocusing themselves. I learned to take a step back, reach out, and game plan.
6) What is your favorite personal development book, talk or leader? And why? My favorite is “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie. I love it because it teaches you a plan to increase likeability. Now I’m more open with people and feel more comfortable speaking.

10) Amy Silverman

Hometown: Miami, Florida (I live in Portland, Oregon)
Coach status: 5 Star Diamond
What year you started Coaching: 2011

1) Three words to describe your Coaching mentality: Balanced, Consistent & Passionate
2) What does it take to be a successful Coach? You have to really be focused on people. We have an amazing company that provides top of the line products. All we have to do is search for people to share this opportunity with. The more people you talk to on a daily basis, the more lives you’ll change and the more likely you are to find someone who will take this business to the top
3) Who has inspired/mentored you on your journey to the top? And how? Every top Coach before me has inspired me, all the founding Coaches, Superstars, Star Diamonds and friends I’ve made. My husband, Kevin Mashburn, is also one of my biggest mentors/motivators. He’s my rock, my best friend, my biggest fan, business partner and I couldn’t be more proud of how far he’s come on his journey as well.
4) What advice would you give to a new Coach? Make your top priority other people and adding value to their lives. Take it easy, relax, and don’t overthink things. Have fun, make mistakes and let loose.
5) Did you hit any roadblocks last year? How did you overcome them? Life is always throwing curve balls at you. I expect roadblocks, I welcome them and I overcome them. The key is to equip yourself mentally so you can continue to do what you set out to do no matter what. Also, remember that nothing happens “to you”— you happen to life. You have a job to do.
6) What is your favorite Personal Development book, talk or leader? And why? “The Secret” was a game changer for me. I truly feel the universe is the biggest tool you can have in your tool box. Once you tap into positivity and the law of attraction, life just becomes easy, fun and exciting. You attract what you put out.

Top Tips from the new Top 10

What does it take to become one of Beachbody’s rockstar Coaches? Why not find out from the crème de la crème of the Coaching ranks—the Top 10 themselves! We asked each of our newly-crowned Elite Top Ten: What’s the one thing you did last year that got you into the Top 10?”, and they responded with these little nuggets of greatness.

Lindsay Matway, 2013 Top Coach
“If I had to choose just ONE thing, it was coming up with an easy system to help my new Coaches get started in MY challenge. Then I made them go out and run their own. It made it much less intimidating and helped them have early wins to build their confidence as new business owners!

The key to getting your Team to progress from there is to focus on what THEY really want, and WHY they want it. At that point, give them a step-by-step process on what it will take to reach those goals. Then, create a clear vision for them of what their new life can look like. NOTHING will get them more fired up and ready to go outside their comfort zones for change!”

Melanie Mitro
“I focused on developing a training system that could be duplicable by the rising stars in my organization. I feel that the personal touch of getting on the phone with my Team made a huge difference, too. The more hands on you can be; the greater success you will have!”

Jenelle Summers
“First, I started strong—that really set the pace for the whole year. Next, I turned down certain opportunities so I could stay focused and not feel overwhelmed by what I had on my plate. Lastly, I launched the Coach Basics trainings with my Coaches. It made a huge impact!”

Scott Hobbs
“DISCIPLINE. I believe that out of all the success principles I’ve learned, discipline in my daily activity is the one thing that got me to the Top 10. I’ve also conditioned myself to DO IT no matter how I feel. I read Personal Development books or watch Personal Development videos on YouTube until I feel it. Then I put in the hustle.”

Amber Scott
“First, I learned from every mistake I made. I never beat myself up and didn’t let the mistakes stop me from moving forward. I also spent time reflecting on what was working. This allowed me to continually fine tune processes and ideas. As a result, my welcome process, sign-up process, training, Challenge Group experience, and Team culture all improved.”

Meghan Wiczynski
“Personal Development. It’s one of those things that’s easy not to do because you don’t see any repercussions of not doing it. However, if you DO it, you see changes almost immediately—the way you handle situations, treat others, respond to customers. Personal Development kept my head in the game through a year with some crazy ups and downs.”

Lauren Duke
“The one thing that encompasses so many activities is consistency. No matter what was going on or where we were, I was consistent with checking in, inviting, sharing, and being available. My Team, customers, and challengers appreciated that and knew they could always count on me.”

Brandi Botts
“I feel God had a lot to do with it, but my sole focus last year was on helping my Team be successful. I really feel that’s the only way you can be in the Top 10. It’s all about your Team and helping them learn to duplicate what you have done.”

Heather Foltz
“The biggest thing I did was not focus on ME. I focused more on how I could help my Coaches reach their monthly goals. I made sure they were getting started right in their businesses and setting goals right off the bat. I also had them start Challenge Groups and made sure they knew I was there for them. It made such a huge difference to be selfless.“

Amy Silverman
“I made it non-negotiable for all the Coaches on my Team to hit Success Club. I also let them know this is a brick-by-brick business and it starts with consistency. The bottom line is, if you’re not focusing on helping your Team succeed and growing their paychecks, you need to start now.”

Mejor Entrenadora:
1) Lindsay Matway

Me encanta John C. Maxwell.

Me encanta Chalene Johnson.

“Me siento feliz. Es difícil explicarlo, pero realmente es así”.

A continuación, encontrarás algunas citas de nuestros panelistas de Fresa:

“Me impresionó este sabor. Sabe muy dulce. Realmente sabe a malteada de fresa”.

“Es sorprendente. NO DEJA UN SABOR ASPERO después de tomarlo. ¡Me súper encanta!”.

“¡Me súper encantó!
