¡La Cumbre lo cambia todo!

El entrenamiento, las habilidades y la impartición de estrategias para potenciar el negocio de Beachbody solo se encuentra una vez al año en todo su esplendor y es en la Cumbre de Entrenadores

“Yo no tengo palabras para describir lo que experimente la primera vez que asistí a la Cumbre de Entrenadores el año pasado, pero sí puedo decir que esa convención es la columna vertebral de nuestro negocio en Beachbody”, asegura Sara Mateo, Entrenadora Diamante de 1 Estrella, residente de Puerto Rico.

Sandra comenzó su negocio en febrero de 2012 y hoy en día vive completamente de su negocio con Beachbody. Pero, asegura, no hubiera podido lograr sus metas de no haber asistido a las sesiones de la Cumbre de Entrenadores.

“¡Te enseñan todo! Te dan los consejos y herramientas para potenciar el negocio y alcanzar las metas financieras, ahí te das cuenta de lo que es en realidad Beachbody y de lo que representa nuestro negocio”, dice entusiasmada.

“Cuando iba de regreso a Puerto Rico, estaba tan inspirada que escribí mis metas y me prometí que dejaría de trabajar para dedicarme a Beachbody y así fue”.

El año pasado, el tema de la Cumbre de Entrenadores fue Soñar en Grande, de modo que Sara Mateo sigue, cada día, soñando en grande y alcanzando metas.

“Todos los Entrenadores deberían tener como meta el asistir a la Cumbre, hacer un presupuesto y asistir porque no se van a arrepentir”, aconseja Mateo.

Para la Entrenadora Diamante de 1 Estrella Laura Santiago, residente de Pennsylvania, la Cumbre de Entrenadores es primordial para el negocio de Beachbody.

“Es una oportunidad única adquirir la visión de Beachbody y aprovechar todo el potencial de nuestro negocio, cualquier Entrenador serio que quiera cumplir sus metas debería estar ahí”.

Santiago ha asistido ya a dos Cumbres y ambas han sido de intenso aprendizaje y emociones.

“La primera vez tuve la oportunidad de conocer a mi Entrenador y conocí a otros Entrenadores, la Cumbre te da las herramientas para tener confianza en uno mismo y en el proceso de este negocio. Es donde nos damos cuenta que lo que hacemos es muy bueno y ayudamos a cambiar vidas”, enfatiza.



La vida vegana

Desde los beneficios que el veganismo aporta a la salud hasta la manera en que Shakeology influye en su estilo de vida, el Sr. de los Superalimentos, Darin Olien, nos cuenta todos los detalles.

1) ¿Qué significa para ti ser vegano?
Crecí comiendo “carne y papas” y no tenía la intención de convertirme en vegano. Sin embargo, después de que eliminé la carne y los lácteos de mi dieta, me di cuenta de que me sentía mucho mejor y que no extrañaba esos alimentos en absoluto. “Vegano” es solo una palabra y ahora me sienta bien. Para mí, significa armonía perfecta con mi salud y el rendimiento general.

2) ¿Qué beneficios en tu salud has notado?
Mejor calidad del sueño. Mejor recuperación de los ejercicios. Mejor lucidez mental. Mayor rendimiento. La lista continúa. Sin lugar a dudas, jamás me he sentido tan bien. Practico surf, natación, bicicleta y hago todo lo que quiero. Tengo 43 años y me esfuerzo más que nunca.  

3) ¿Cómo mantienes tu físico atlético con una dieta vegana?
Como una amplia variedad de alimentos simples, integrales y densos en nutrientes. Me aportan abundante proteína y todo lo que mi cuerpo necesita. Por ejemplo, la ensalada que acabo de comer en el almuerzo vino de mi huerta y contenía cinco tipos de hojas verdes, brócoli, pimientos rojos y nueces germinadas.  

4) ¿La dieta vegana te priva de algún nutriente que necesitas?
¡No! Por el contrario, es positiva porque agrego muchos nutrientes esenciales a mi dieta. Sin embargo, en ocasiones, debo vigilar mis niveles de vitamina B12, así que me aseguro de incorporar hojas bien verdes, espirulina, alimentos fermentados y levadura nutricional.

5) ¿Cuáles crees que son los mayores beneficios de ser vegano?
No me tengo que preocupar por mi salud porque como muchos alimentos frescos y energéticos. El cuerpo se regula solo de manera increíble cuando le das buen combustible. Eso es genial. Tampoco tengo ninguno de los dolores que la mayoría de las personas experimentan. Me recupero de los ejercicios y lesiones muy rápido y rara vez me enfermo.

6) ¿Cuáles son algunos de los retos que enfrentan los veganos y cómo los superas?
Confiar en la procedencia de los alimentos es un reto que todos enfrentamos. Tampoco ingiero alimentos muy procesados. En el mundo vegano, tratamos de evitar alimentos con ingredientes ocultos de origen animal. Pero que no contengan ingredientes de origen animal no significa que sean saludables, tampoco quiere decir que todos los productos de origen animal son poco saludables. El secreto está en ser más conscientes a la hora de elegir nuestros alimentos. No supongas que porque se venda en el supermercado es seguro.

7) ¿Alimentos veganos favoritos? ¿Alguna buena receta para compartir?
¡Una gran ensalada masculina todos los días! Recojo lechuga y col rizada de mi huerta y hago una ensalada increíble. Por supuesto que cualquier vegetal está primero en mi lista. También preparo pizzas veganas impresionantes, tacos con tempeh y hamburguesas vegetarianas caseras deliciosas. Todos estos platos son completamente veganos y completamente sabrosos. Me encanta la comida y jamás le falta sabor a lo que como.

8) ¿Cuál es la mayor diferencia que los fanáticos de Shakeology notarán con las nuevas fórmulas veganas?
Sin lugar a dudas, las nuevas fórmulas veganas son más sabrosas y tienen más sabor. También tienen un sabor mucho más marcado. Por sobre todo, son increíblemente suaves, sin la textura granulosa. Estoy muy orgulloso de cuánto hemos avanzado. ¡Estas fórmulas son increíbles!

9) ¿Qué deben saber los Entrenadores respecto de las nuevas fórmulas?
Hay más ingredientes nuevos y nuevas innovaciones. Agregamos la maravillosa proteína de avena sin gluten que tiene una capacidad de digestión muy alta. También bajamos el número total de carbohidratos y redujimos el azúcar con el néctar de agave. Por último, introdujimos las vitaminas, minerales y antioxidantes de la col rizada.

10) ¿De qué manera Shakeology influye en tu estilo de vida vegano?
Empiezo mi día con un potente Shakeology en el desayuno. Lo mezclo con muchos de mis polvos según las necesidades específicas que tenga en el día hasta llenar la licuadora. Luego, tomo otro licuado más tarde para recuperarme de mis ejercicios. Me encanta el sabor Fresa Tropical Vegano en la primavera y Shakeology Chocolate en el invierno. ¡Es así como roto los sabores!

From the health benefits of being vegan to how Shakeology factors into his lifestyle, Mr. Superfood, Darin Olien has all the details.

Plus, he’s giving the scoop on the new and improved Chocolate Vegan and Tropical Strawberry Shakeology flavors, along with some delicious talking points.

So join us as we journey inside the vegan universe with Darin Olien.

1) What does being vegan mean to you?
I grew up a ‘meat and potatoes’ guy and didn’t initially set out to be vegan. But after I experimented with eliminating meat and dairy from my diet, I realized I felt so much better and wasn’t missing those things at all! ‘Vegan’ is just a word and fits me now. To me it means perfect harmony for my health and overall performance.

2) What health benefits have you felt?
Better-quality sleep. Better recovery from exercise. Better mental clarity. Increased performance. The list goes on. It’s definitely the best I’ve ever felt. I surf, swim, bike and do everything I want to do. I’m 43 and I’m hammering it more than ever!

3) How do you maintain your athletic build while being vegan?
I eat a wide variety of simple, whole, nutrient-dense foods. They give me ample protein and everything my body needs. For example, the salad I just ate for lunch came from my garden and was loaded with five types of leafy greens, broccoli, red peppers and sprouted nuts!

4) Does being vegan take away from any nutrients you need?
No! If anything, it’s a positive because I’m adding so many essential nutrients to my diet. On occasion though, I have to keep an eye on my vitamin B12 levels, so I make sure to supplement with deep, leafy greens, spirulina, fermented foods and nutritional yeast.

5) What do you personally feel are the strongest benefits of being vegan?
I don’t have to worry about my health because I eat so many vibrant and fresh foods. The body self-regulates wonderfully when given great fuel! That’s huge. I also don’t have any of the aches and pains most people experience. I recover from workouts and injuries really fast and rarely get sick.

6) What are some challenges Vegans face, and how do you overcome them?
Trusting where your food comes from is a challenge we all face. I also stay away from overly processed foods. In the vegan world, we look to avoid foods with hidden animal ingredients. But just because it doesn’t have animal products doesn’t mean it’s healthy, nor does it mean all animal products are unhealthy. The key is to become more conscious of our food choices. Don’t assume that if it’s sold in the market, that it’s safe.

7) Favorite Vegan foods? Any good recipes to share?
A big, manly salad every day! I pick lettuce and kale from my garden and make an awesome salad. And, of course, any vegetable would be at the top of my list. I also make killer vegan pizzas, tacos with tempeh, and delicious, homemade veggie burgers, too. All are completely vegan—and completely yummy! I celebrate food and there is no lack of taste with what I eat.

8) What’s a good way to get started with a vegan lifestyle?
You can reap some of the health benefits if you start by replacing just one meal a day with all plants. (Vegan is just a way of saying “eat all plants.”) Vegan Shakeology is an easy way to do that with 100% healthy, fat-burning plant power.

9) Biggest difference Shakeology fans will notice with the new vegan formulas?
Without a doubt the new vegan formulas are tastier and way more flavorful. On top of that, they’re incredibly smooth—no more grittiness. I’m so proud of how far we’ve come. These formulas are awesome!

10) What should Coaches know about the new formulas?
There are more new ingredients and more new innovations. We added a wonderful, new oat protein with very high digestibility. Also, we lowered the overall number of carbohydrates and reduced sugars with the agave nectar. Lastly, we introduced kale, a powerhouse of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.

11) How does Shakeology factor into your Vegan lifestyle?
I start my day with a massive Shakeology for breakfast. I boost it with many of my powders based on specific needs I have for the day until the blender is full. Then, I have another shake later in the day to recover from my workout. I love the Tropical Vegan Strawberry flavor in Spring and Chocolate Shakeology in the winter. That’s just how I roll!

Just ask Ryan Chapman. He nabbed Elite only months after bringing a dozen of his Coaches with him to Summit. Here are a few of his must-read revelations.

Why is it important to bring your Downline Coaches to Summit?
Bringing your Coaches to Summit is the number one way to create exponential growth within your Team.

Last year, I brought 12 Coaches. This year, most of them are bringing three or four of their own – it’s only going to multiply from here. Encourage your Coaches to come with you, and you have an opportunity for snowballing growth!

How did bringing your Team to Summit affect your business?
Before Summit last year, I was short of the five stars I needed to hit Elite.
This event gave me two big chances to push my Coaches to Diamond: Before Summit (so they could have on-stage recognition as Diamonds) and after Summit (so they could use their enthusiasm to push their businesses to the next level).
Last year, I helped three Coaches reach Diamond before Summit and four reached Diamond a few months after. Now I’m an Elite Coach!

How did Summit affect your Team?
They loved having the chance to finally meet each other in person. Knowing people outside of Facebook really changes the dynamic of the relationship.

The best part was watching my Coaches collaborate with each other and build new and incredibly strong success partnerships.

How did attending Summit make your Coaches feel more connected with Beachbody?
Summit helps Coaches get a real feel for the ethos of Beachbody. Sometimes Coaches get caught up in the logistics—Success Club, Challenge Pack sales, ranks, etc. They forget the Beachbody mission – End The Trend.

My Coaches all came out of Summit thinking, “Wow! I love this company and everything it stands for.”

This enthusiasm has bred success because Summit helped them believe in the business!

How did you feel watching your Coaches experience Summit?
I felt a deep sense of pride watching my Coaches take in Summit. It was so gratifying to see them set bigger goals for their businesses and their lives. They left Summit excited, driven, and ready to take on the world. I loved it! And this year, I’m looking forward to bringing 20 of my Coaches to Summit.

Advice from Ryan:

  • Make Team t-shirts for Summit. Wearing the same thing will create a sense of camaraderie within the Team and bring your Coaches closer together.
  • Make recommendations for which workshops each Coach should attend. There’s so much going on, and you don’t want them to miss the ones they can benefit most from.
  • Consider investing in a hotel suite for your Team. It’s great having a “home base” where your Coaches can meet up, talk about the day, and bond in a more intimate setting.
  • Make sure your Team attends the weekly, pre-Summit meetings. These are great for getting your Coaches pumped up while also learning how to make the most of the event once they get there.
  • Leading a Team at Summit can come with a lot of anxiety. Try not to worry too much. Be there for them when they need you, but don’t be afraid to let them try to fly on their own!

Winning Tips From the Two-Time Team Beachbody Cup Champs!

What does it take to be a repeat champion in the Team Beachbody Cup? Just look to The Gretzkys—the proud Team who captured the Cup for the second year in a row.

It took long hours, tons of dedication and lack of sleep – but these champions stole the spotlight and became the first Team in Beachbody history to have their names inscribed on the coveted cup twice!

Determined Team leader, Emilie Robidas, is here to shine a light on what kept her Team momentum going and the techniques they used to succeed.

What strategy do you attribute to winning the Cup two times in a row, Emilie?

After our first win, our strategy was to focus more on preparation. We began inviting prospects to our 21 Day Fix® Challenge Group two weeks before the Cup even started! We really took the first Vital Behavior to the next level. We were incredibly persistent in reaching out and following up with every contact we could find—even if they had previously said no!

What was the biggest challenge your Team had to overcome?
Balancing business with personal life! On rough days, we told each other it was okay to disconnect a little to come back stronger the following day. Though none of us completely disconnected from the Internet for a full day, we tried to convince each other to take breaks when needed. 

How did you establish accountability within your Team?
We set up weekly goals for the Team and then divided them into individual goals. For example, the first week we wanted to max out our 175 points so we assigned each Team member 35 points. This helped us visualize the larger goal while setting clear standards for how each member would contribute to that goal.
We also stayed connected on a daily basis. In our Facebook group, we would update our numbers all day long and would have a Team countdown at the end of the day.

How did participating in the Cup help you improve your business?
I always have my best month during the Cup—not only in terms of sales and Success Club points but also in terms of Team volume and Team bonuses. The momentum you build during the Cup will stay with you for weeks, and there’s a good chance your new customers will become Coaches down the road, as well!

What is one strategy every Team needs to follow to succeed?

You must agree on a Team goal before the Cup starts. Come up with a plan and stick to it. Most of all, if you want to win the Cup, you can’t have any excuses.

What did you learn about building your business by participating in the Cup?
I learned the true power of teamwork and accountability. You can’t win the Cup alone, and you can’t have a successful Coaching business if you don’t build a Team.

Why is participating in the Cup vital for new Coaches?

It helps new Coaches set goals and push limits. When you push yourself beyond your comfort zone, you achieve new goals. You also develop strong relationships with your Team, and find new success partners to help you stay accountable.

Mobilizing Your Team for Summit

Everyone’s fired up for Summit 2014. And one Coach who’s ready to make the most of this monster opportunity? 15 Star Diamond Coach and Summit veteran, Brigitte Linford. Before Summit. During Summit. Post Summit. Brigitte has a rock-solid action plan for all aspects of the big event. So get ready to take some serious notes—and get ready to take Coach Summit by storm!

Q. What are you doing to get as many Team members as possible to Summit?
 First, I’m letting them know how much I want them to be there with me. That’s important because I’ve found my Coaches commit to going to Summit when I invite them personally. Second, I’m sharing my own experience and how Summit has helped grow my business exponentially. Last year, about 30 Coaches from my Team went. This year we have 125 committed to going. My goal is to push that number to 150!

Q. How do you organize your Team to cover your bases during Summit?
First and foremost; I enlist help from the leaders on my Team. Next, we have a private Facebook group for our Coaches who attend Summit. We all post and comment and figure out who is going to what workshop. That way we can all benefit from everything that’s presented.

Q. How do you get your Team ready to hit the ground running after Summit?
I make sure to take LOTS of diligent notes during each workshop that my Team can put into action after the event. Also, I ask the different leaders on my Team to take turns hosting our weekly Team webinar. Last year, we shared the best business practices we learned at Summit and it was awesome!

Q. How will you share all the breaking Summit news with Coaches that can’t attend?
Videos! Last year I made one in my hotel room after the General Sessions. I shared all the big announcements with the Team, and made sure they were the first to know.

Q. How do you sustain momentum coming out of Summit beyond the first month or two?
It’s key to have weekly Team webinars and trainings. I also make it a point to get my Team together in person as much as I can. I feel that by doing these two things, I’m creating ‘mini Summit’ experiences.

Q. What’s the single most powerful reason you can give someone to get to Summit?
My own experience! I tell the story of how I went to Summit my first year even though I’d only been a Coach for 8 weeks. I couldn’t even afford a plane ticket or a room at the MGM grand, but I drove 11 hours and stayed at some ghetto hotel. It was SO worth it! Summit shortened my learning curve, and I don’t think I would have seen the same growth if I hadn’t been there.

Q. Why should people commit now for next year’s Summit?
When you buy that ticket to Summit beforehand, you’re mentally making a commitment to this business. And to taste success, you have to commit fully. So if someone is serious about this business, they have to do WHATEVER it takes to be there!
