Double Your Super Saturday Numbers

Ready to unlock the secrets to hosting a colossal Super Saturday? Get twice the advice from two real-life sisters and Diamond Coaches, Becky Brossett and Kristina Delgado. With over 60 consecutive months in Success Club between them, these two resourceful ladies are producing memorable Super Saturdays that have people talking.

Learn how Becky and Kristina have kept their attendance numbers on the rise—and how they keep Coaches and guests completely engaged from the start of their Super Saturday event all the way to the finish!

When did you start hosting Super Saturday events?

Becky:  Beachbody held their very first Super Saturday event in January, 2011! We saw back then that it was a powerful and organic way to share real-life Beachbody testimonials and important breaking company news. Our first event had 30 Coaches and guests in attendance. We’ve truly grown into a strong Beachbody community in South Florida and expect over 300 Coaches and guests in September!

Describe your recent big Miami Super Saturday event.

Kristina: It was definitely our biggest event to date! Our theme was ‘WHITE HOT’—it incorporated the Miami Heat winning the NBA title and the White Party at Summit. We had a Shakeology bar, an iPod playing upbeat music as guests arrived, and sold raffle tickets for a copy of FOCUS T25. We also discovered that having a post-presentation workout is a great tool to attract guests to the event. Since January, we’ve hosted LIVE Turbo Kick and INSANITY workouts, which were a HIIT (pun intended!)

Why is it so important to attend or host a Super Saturday event?

Becky: These events help you hit the reset button and get motivated to achieve more with your business. Hosting is just as important as attending. I struggled with public speaking, but I knew that hosting a Super Saturday event would help me overcome that fear, and turn me into a better leader. If you aren’t quite ready to do it alone, team up with another Coach and co-host an event. Just do it!

What impact has Super Saturday events had on your business?

Kristina: Since we started on a mission to grow our Super Saturdays, our businesses have experienced a parallel growth. In fact, during our last event Becky announced her retirement from Corporate America! The event also helps us puts faces to names, creates solid in-person bonds, and allows us to share ideas. Camaraderie within our community allows us all to share the vision of Beachbody on a grander scale and create business success as a whole.

What elements are critical to pull off a successful Super Saturday?

Becky: There are a lot of moving parts! For us, the two most crucial elements are teamwork and organization.  As a group, we share the responsibility to make sure the event goes off without a hitch. We host planning calls and delegate responsibilities like the venue search, Shakeology Bar, music and decorations. We also use a private Facebook group so everyone stays connected.

What are your top tips for hosting a Super Saturday event?

  1. Commit to hosting one! All great things begin with a decision to try.
  2. Stay consistent in your efforts. We went from 30 to 230 guests and expect over 300 at our upcoming September event.
  3. Get creative to attract new Coaches and guests. Have a theme, incorporate music, and schedule a post-presentation workout if possible.
  4. Invite, invite, invite! Extend personal invitations and constantly remind people to get registered by a certain date. This includes inviting leaders in your area.
  5. Be warm and inviting. This event may literally be someone’s first encounter with Beachbody and could also turn someone’s business around.
  6.  Ask for help. We ask for volunteers to greet attendees when they arrive, work the Shakeology Bar, and set up decorations.

How do you promote your events?

Becky: First, we use for coach and guest registrations AND register the event in the Coach Online Office. Then, we create a Facebook event page with all the pertinent information for the event. This becomes like our “home base” since it’s the central location to share announcements, new information, and get people excited. We also ask Team Beachbody leaders from around the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada to invite their Coaches who live in South Florida. We treat our Super Saturdays as if we were inviting to our Challenge Groups!

Sample Facebook post:
Have you heard? Carl Daikeler, Beachbody CEO, will be visiting us AGAIN in sunny South Florida on September 28th for Super Saturday!  Unbelievable!  Thinking back 2 years, all Kristina and I wanted was to put MIAMI on the MAP and bring Corporate to ONE of our events!  We must be doing something right because this will be their 4th visit this year!  If you have ever thought of attending one of our events, this is the one!  Will you be there?

New Feature: Contact My Coach Button

Very soon we’re going to make it easier than ever for your customers to contact you. That means better relationships with your customers, more communication and hopefully, more business! We will be adding a new easy to use (and see) button called ‘Contact My Coach’ to the Team Beachbody home page. As Shaun T would say, “Oh shiznizzy!”

So, how did it work before?

Currently, the process for customers isn’t easy. In order to contact their Coaches, customers must login to Team Beachbody, go to the Connect button then to the My Coach button and then send a message contact them. The message is then sent to the TBB inbox of the Coach, who must also login to respond.

How is Contact My Coach going to work?

We’re adding the new Contact My Coach button to the top left of the TBB home page. It will allow all customers, whether they’re old or new, to send a message to their Coach in a single click. This “one-click contact” will remove old barriers, allowing you and your customers to focus on what matters—achieving goals and living healthy and fulfilling lives.

“This update is a huge step forward in our commitment to connecting customers with their Coaches. We know that our customers who connect and develop a relationship with their Coach are more likely to get the best results.”  says Senior Vice President of Team Beachbody Michael Neimand.

By placing the Coaches front and center, we believe more customers will connect with them, more lives will be changed and we’ll be that much closer to ending the trend of obesity.

What options will my customer have when using the new button?

Next to the Contact My Coach button will be a small thumbnail of your profile picture – so get those glamour shots ready! Once your customer hovers their cursor over the button, a message will appear providing important details and explaining what a coach is. Among the things described, customers will be reminded of the following:

  • Access to their Coach is included FREE with their membership
  • Their Coach started as a customer, just like them, and can partner online or over the phone to provide the extra support they need to succeed.

The customer will then be given five message templates to choose from and an option to add their own additional note. The message will go directly to your personal email address registered with Team Beachbody and not your TBB inbox.

How does this benefit you?

It puts YOU in the center of things! We’re integrating the idea of having a Coach into the user experience so that your customers will immediately realize they have access to you, their most valuable resource.

Customer messages going straight to your personal email will make it easier for you to manage your contacts and will give you greater freedom to respond. Whether you’re checking your phone while sipping Shakeology on the beach or away at Coach Summit, you’ll be able to interact with your customers in a way that wasn’t possible before.

Of course, please be sure to respond! Making it easier for customers to contact you won’t help if you don’t get back to them.  Make it a priority to connect with those customers.

Finally, if a customer has specific questions about changing account info, payment info, etc. simply refer them to Customer Service as you normally would for help.

Bottom line – get pumped! This technological advancement is bringing you and your customer together in a new, strategic and dynamic way. Get ready to see your lead commissions skyrocket!

Tarah Carr: Success from Home Savvy

Army wife and business saavy go-getter, Tarah Carr doesn’t fight her battles lying down. Being the wife of a Green Beret was never easy. But after being relocated to Japan when her husband Adam was issued a permanent change of station, Tarah felt her isolation from the world weighing down on her.  Alone in a foreign country with a newborn to take care of and a husband who was regularly deployed, Tarah began noticing that her depression was starting to manifest in her weight.

“Every time Adam came home, I was bigger, more depressed, and wanting to go back to Ohio,” she remembers.

Inspired by her husband’s success with P90X, Tarah decided to give Chalene Johnson’s TurboFire a try.  After popping in her first DVD, she knew immediately that this was the program for her. She wound up losing 49 lbs. in 90 days!  Even after delivering her second son, Tarah’s dedication had her back in a size double zero 90 days later!

Confident Coaching

Tarah got into Coaching when she realized she could get paid for inspiring others with her story—which she was already actively doing.

“I knew I could make the sales because I already had hooked my friends on the fitness programs and Shakeology,” she recalls.

Before she knew it, her business and confidence began to soar! Scaling the Coaching ranks, it quickly became clear that Tarah’s business was a force to be reckoned with.

“It was just so fun for me! I realized for the first time that I wasn’t obsessing over my husband being deployed, and I wasn’t staying up late because I was worrying,” she shares.  “I was actually staying up late because I was helping people!”

Fight for (Financial) Freedom

Even with her newfound passion, Tarah still struggled having her husband away for so long.  “I was tired of being up every night trying to explain to my kids that their daddy was okay and would be coming home soon, while not always knowing in my heart if that was the truth,” she confides.

As a result, she was shocked when Adam turned to her one day and said, “Keep this up babe, and you could retire me.  Seriously, if you hit six figures before my contract is up, I’ll get out.  I miss the boys— I’m ready for my time in the service to be over.”

That was all Tarah needed to hear!  She began signing Coaches left and right, pushed herself to advance from an 8 Star to a 14 Star Diamond, and 10 months later she hit her goal of pulling in 6 figures.  Now she and Adam plan on moving their family back to the states next spring!”

“I guess you could say I’m just driven by a goal.  But that goal had a lot of power behind it!” she exclaims.

The Plan of Attack – Success from Home Magazine

Much of Tarah’s success in creating financial stability for her family was her strategic plan of attack.  Not letting any resource go to waste, Tarah systematically utilizes Team Beachbody’s tools and incentives to motivate her Coaches to bring in more business.

Her most recent secret weapon?  The Team Beachbody featured edition of Success from Home.

“I’ve never seen a magazine filled with so many driven and successful people.  Looking at it, it’s hard not to think, why not me?  It’s inspiring,” shares Tarah.

She continues, “At Summit, I gave all of my Diamonds an iPod Nano, Vanilla Shakeology, and the Success from Home magazine.  Nobody even said a word about the iPod because they were all so excited about the magazine!  I laughed so hard because I wasn’t expecting that response!”

Tarah still has a lot of plans for using Success from Home.  Currently, she is sending each of the Coaches in her downline a copy of the magazine with a handwritten note reminding each of them of their past journeys and future goals.  She hopes this magazine will motivate her Coaches to envision a bigger future for themselves while giving them a resource to use while recruiting.

The Hope for More Homecomings

Tarah’s journey doesn’t stop here, though.  With the responsibility of taking care of members of both her immediate and extended family, Tarah hopes to continue to grow her business, confidently declaring that she will be in the millionaires’ circle within the next two years.

Additionally, she says, “ I want to help my Coaches hit six figures and pay off their debts just like I did.  A lot of my Coaches are also military spouses and want to bring their husbands home. I know if I can do it, I can help them do it, too.”

Coach’s Playbook:

  • Make use of tools created for you: Success from Home Magazine, the Product Catalogue and many others tools can truly change your business.
  • Communicate with your team: Send weekly notes to your new Coaches, create incentives and fun rewards. Think of unique ways to motivate and inspire your Coaches.
  • Believe in yourself and your story: Once you have confidence in your own journey, you will begin to share instead of sell.

Summing Up a Super Saturday

On June 29th, we took Super Saturday by storm!

Over 6000 Coaches. 425 events all over the U.S., Canada—even military bases in foreign lands.

And at the heart of this edition of Super Saturday? The launching of Vanilla Shakeology® and FOCUS T25™.

There was even a touching life transformation story from Brigitte Linford. Add in the announcement of the Team Beachbody Cup in July and dates for Franklin Covey training and this was, by all accounts, one of the biggest Super Saturdays ever!

Inspiration across the nation
All over the U.S., Team Beachbody® was out to represent on Super Saturday.

Kristina Delgado and Becky Brossett had a live workout with a master trainer in Miami. Kristina Sullins had almost 400 people in Chicago—more than doubling her attendance from the previous Super Saturday.

Nicole L. Jones held her first Super Saturday event in Boston and called it supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! Heather and Trey Reichert were pumped up about their event in Houston and plan to do it on a regular basis.

But no matter the city, everyone fed off the undeniable energy of thousands of Coaches coming together with a united goal: building some serious momentum for the next quarter.

The hosts speak out
Here’s what a few Coaches had to say about hosting the June event:

“I was very impressed at how easy Beachbody made it to present Super Saturday. Everything was structured in such a way that anyone can host.”

“I absolutely loved the atmosphere and the Team building that occurred!

“We’re working on expanding the Atlanta market. We did a 80s theme this time and it was a big hit!

“This is the biggest Super Saturday we’ve had so far and are searching for an even bigger location for the next few events!”

“We alternate hosting super Saturdays throughout our Chicago leadership team. We also offered a live INSANITY workout which brought in a lot of guests.”

Save the date
So what’s your next opportunity to make the magic happen? Grab a pen and mark down September 29th. That’s when thousands of Coaches will once again join forces and get their super swagger on.

You’ll learn about new products and promotions. Create a plan. Celebrate success. And just in case you need even more reasons to take part in the September Super Saturday, digest these pearls of wisdom:

  • Up your quarterly sales. See a new video from corporate chock-full of announcements, training tips, and a call to action that points each Coach in the same direction.
  • Get face to face. This is a relationship business. Period. And attending live events like Super Saturday provides a raw, organic energy you just can’t get from Facebook or Twitter.
  • Walk the Talk. Super Saturday is an opportunity to network with other Coaches and take one big, positive step for your business.

And the best part of all? Any Coach at any rank can take action and host his or her own event. For a valuable video on how to host a Super Saturday event, be sure to check this out: //

Coaching By the Clock

Tick. Tick. Tick. That’s the sound of your busy day getting away from you.

But it doesn’t have to.

The key is balancing your family life and social life with your business. So where do you find the time? Keep in mind, even the busiest people can find 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or an hour to be more productive. Here are some creative ways to put time on your side:

15 minutes

Between working 9 to 5, taking the kids to school, and your INSANITY® sweat session, you’ve got a full plate of activities. But odds are, you have 15 minutes to spare before turning in for the night. And any minutes are better than no minutes at all.

Let’s take a look at what you could accomplish in just a quarter of an hour.

  • Following through in life and business is not overrated. In 15 minutes you could call or email at least 5 new customers. Make it a contest to see how many people you can contact.
  • Search for five people to add to your invite list. – In 15 minutes, that should be easier than you can say ‘push play.’
  • Strike up a quick conversation with someone from your invite list. Reach out via Facebook, phone or email. Just remember to make it short, sweet and genuine.
“I focus on social media, but I use a timer. As a tool, Facebook has the greatest potential for your business, but can also be the greatest time suck. So if I set a timer for 15 minutes, I stay on track and limit distractions.”
– Stephanie Richardson, 5 Star Diamond Coach, 2012 Elite Coach

Time trick
Still think you don’t have 15 minutes? Re-evaluate your day and we bet you’ll find some of the same time wasters popping up. Here are some common examples: extraneous Facebook creeping, junky TV watching,—even hitting the ‘Snooze’ button twice. Hey that’s 45 extra minutes right there!

30 minutes

If used correctly, thirty minutes can end up saving you hours. How? Use a spare 30 minutes, waiting for a doctor appointment or your kid’s dance recital, to make a plan. Seems counterintuitive, but if you spend just 30 minutes one day a week planning out your up-coming week, you won’t find yourself getting coffee three times a day, or walking your dog twice while you figure out what to do first.

“And don’t forget about your business activity tracker,” says Senior Director of Training and Field Development, Denise Needham. “It’s a great way to spend 10 minutes to close out your day and then 30 minutes to plan next week’s goals. You can easily find it in the Coach Online Office.”

“30 minutes of working on Personal Development will give you the biggest bang for your buck (time). Your business growth will always be a direct reflection of your personal growth.”
– Julie Schulte, 11 Star Diamond Coach, 2012 Elite Coach

Time trick
The work commute for the average American is 26 minutes one-way. That’s almost half an hour you can spend making Coach calls (hands free of course), or listening to Personal Development podcasts or audio recordings. So get driving—and get productive!

1 hour

This business is not about business, it’s about relationships. So spend a precious hour forging new connections and fostering old ones. Taking a struggling Coach out to lunch, or setting up a Skype date with a cross-country connection is a great way to strengthen your network.

But which relationships should you take on first? Take deep breath and back up. Spend an hour evaluating your team’s strengths and weaknesses. You’ll see which relationships could benefit from a little extra care and discover your priorities in the process – win, win!

“Here’s a little peek at my daily recurring tasks, which usually total an hour: I reach out to our Challenge Groups, new customers, new Coaches, and answer incoming emails from customers or Coaches on our Team. I also send out thank you emails and thank you notes. After all, a little personal touch goes a long way!”
– Kelly Nelson, 2 Star Diamond Coach

Time trick
Finding a free hour can sometimes be a bit more challenging; but setting the alarm an hour earlier to rise and shine might just do the trick. In other words, beat your distractions to the punch!

All the Right Moves

There is more to Shaun T than abs and an awesome attitude. Just ask his Chief Operations Officer and friend, Tania Baron.

Shaun and Tania go way back. She knew him when he was Shaun Thompson, the dancer. And he believed in her when she didn’t even believe in herself.

Today, they make a winning team with a capital “T”.

And speaking of winners, Tania’s confident the September Challenge Pack offer will have you pushing play over and over again. Yep, we’re turning up the volume and bumping the beats with a Dance Party Challenge Pack, featuring Hip Hop Abs® and Rockin’ Body® for $140. That saves your customers $50 and guarantees one seriously entertaining work out.

So read on as Tania breaks down the whole story—step by step.

How did you meet Shaun T?
We were working as professional dancers on a show called The 10 Commandments. That was before he was Shaun T! After the show, he created Hip Hop Abs and invited me to be in it. Since then, I’ve been in every one of his videos except INSANITY: THE ASYLUM® 1 and 2 because I was pregnant.

You’re the Chief Operations Officer of Shaun T Inc. What does that mean?
It basically means that everything with Shaun T Fitness and Shaun T Inc. filters through me before it gets to Shaun. I’m responsible for making sure the different departments like operations, production, and social media run smoothly. I guess you could say I help him manage anything outside the Beachbody® world.

What’s it like working so closely with Shaun T?
Luckily, we’re able to balance business and friendship. We have tons of respect for each other and also love to have fun. If it’s not fun, Shaun doesn’t want to do it. That’s why I admire him so much—he puts his heart and soul into every one of his products.

What’s your favorite thing about Hip Hop Abs and Rockin’ Body?
It’s refreshing to see Shaun in such a light, fun atmosphere compared to his other programs like INSANITY® and FOCUS T25. When Shaun’s dancing, that’s where he lives. Dancing is his passion and you can really feel it in these videos.

What are the differences between the two programs?
With Hip Hop Abs you get an intense cardio but it’s more ab specific. Shaun hates traditional ab work so he wanted to create a program that will get you a 6-pack without doing a single crunch. In Rockin’ Body, it’s all cardio and my heart rate gets a lot higher. Each workout has a theme and is an all out dance party. There is a rock workout, disco workout etc.

Do you have a favorite work out from Hip Hop Abs or Rockin’ Body?
I like the disco one. Am I aging myself? [Laughs] It’s actually pretty difficult because the music is so fast and the exercises are intense. The good news is    you’re just dancing, so you don’t even feel like you’re working out.

Do you normally listen to Disco when you work out?
No. I usually like anything by Beyonce—especially Run the World. I also like old school Justin Timberlake or Rihanna—anything with a driving beat.

How would you pitch Rockin’ Body or Hip Hop Abs to a stranger?
Whenever I find out someone loves to dance and workout, but doesn’t want the intensity of INSANITY, I suggest Hip Hop Abs or Rockin’ Body. They’re both really good workouts, but the catch is that people feel like they’re dancing and having a great time. Plus, Shaun is a master of making people with zero rhythm or coordination feel like they’re professional dancers.

How did you get your nickname ‘The Machine’?
[Laughs] When we were creating INSANITY, Shaun instructed me to stay at the front of the class and keep going the entire time. I felt like I had to keep everyone motivated and maintain perfect form. By the time we filmed the videos, I had become like a machine.

Do you have any new goals for the future?
To get everyone in my family off high blood pressure medication! I also want to stay healthy. At my last physical, they told me that I will definitely get diabetes someday since it runs in my family. I said, “No thank you.” My new goals are to be as healthy as possible and to set the best possible example for my 22-month old son, Benjamin. (And yes, Shaun T is, in fact, Benjamin’s Godfather!)
